Video Agency Oysterly Media Launches Proprietary Social Search Tool

Short-form video agency Oysterly Media has launched a proprietary social search tool designed to uncover real-time insights into audience behavior and competitive trends on social media platforms.

The Oysterly Media Social Search tool identifies what information audiences are searching for about specific brands, competitors, and industries. By analyzing relevant keywords and audience location, it generates trending searches and questions that are then transformed into video concepts using the company’s signature video framework.

The tool comes as research indicates a significant shift in how consumers discover information. According to Sprout Social’s recent surveys, 41% of Gen Z now turn to social platforms first when seeking information, compared to 32% who use traditional search engines.

“Google is no longer the ‘front door’ to your business as it once was,” Oysterly Media founder Melissa Laurie said in a press release. “People are now searching for services, products, and answers on social media. They want to experience content that is interactive, visual, and engaging.”

This shift coincides with marketing leaders’ growing recognition of social media’s business value. According to research, 67% of marketing leaders are confident social media generates brand awareness. They also believe it drives customer acquisition (60%), customer loyalty (58%), and revenue (56%).

Oysterly Media’s tool is exclusively available to its clients. The agency specializes in user-generated content (UGC) and employee-generated content (EGC), having created over 10,000 videos for brands including Hilton, UPS, 3M, and Microsoft since its founding in 2022.
