Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming has released a limited-edition treat collection in partnership with three popular TikTok dog influencers. The collection features signature treats developed with social media stars @tikatheiggy, @akirablackpit, and @dexterthebalancingdog.

Each variety reflects the canine influencer’s persona and preferences: Iconic Bites by @tikatheiggy offers turkey treats; Tippy Tap Snacks by @akirablackpit features duck; and Stacked ’n Snacked by @dexterthebalancingdog combines chicken and sweet potato. All products are made in the U.S. with all-natural ingredients and contain no wheat, corn, soy, or artificial additives.

“These are more than just treats, they’re stories told through flavor,” Ricardo Azevedo, CEO of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, said in a press release. “We’ve seen how much our customers connect with the dogs they follow online.”

Research Supports Petfluencer Strategy

The launch aligns with recent findings published in the Journal of Advertising Research, which demonstrate that “petfluencers” often generate stronger consumer responses than human influencers. Research conducted by the universities of Strathclyde, Louisville, and Edinburgh found that content featuring animal influencers creates higher engagement rates and increases consumers’ willingness to pay for advertised products.

According to the study, consumers perceive animal influencers as more sincere than human counterparts. In field experiments using Instagram ads, pet influencer content reached more users, generated triple the engagement, and cost approximately one-third less per engagement compared to identical content featuring humans.

The pet industry reached $147 billion in sales in the U.S. in 2023, according to the American Pet Products Association.
