Meta Launches ‘Vibes’ For AI Video Creation

Meta introduces “Vibes,” a dedicated feed for AI-generated videos within the Meta AI app and on meta.ai, expanding the company’s suite of artificial intelligence tools for content creators.

The Vibes feed functions as a centralized space for users to browse, create, and share short-form AI-generated videos. According to Meta’s announcement, the feed will display content from creators and communities, with personalization features that adapt to user preferences over time.

“Vibes is designed to make it easier to find creative inspiration and experiment with Meta AI’s media tools,” Meta states in its official release.

Users can generate videos from scratch, modify existing content, or remix videos discovered in their feed. The platform offers capabilities to incorporate new visuals, add music layers, and adjust visual styles to match personal preferences.

Content Sharing Integration

The platform integrates with Meta’s existing social ecosystem, allowing users to share their AI-generated content across multiple channels. Once created, videos can be posted directly to the Vibes feed, sent via direct messages, or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

Meta has also implemented cross-platform discovery features, enabling users who encounter Meta AI videos on Instagram to access remixing tools through the Meta AI app.

According to media sources, Meta’s Chief AI Officer, Alexandr Wang, reveals that the company has partnered with established AI image generators for the initial release of Vibes.

“The company has partnered with AI image generators Midjourney and Black Forest Labs for the early version of Vibes, while Meta continues developing its own AI models,” Wang states.

Strategic AI Investment

The Vibes launch represents part of Meta’s broader strategic investment in artificial intelligence capabilities. In June, the company restructured its AI operations to establish “Meta Superintelligence Labs” and subsequently reorganized its AI division into four specialized groups focusing on foundation models, research, product integration, and infrastructure.

Meta indicates that Vibes represents “just the latest in our AI video work,” suggesting ongoing development in this area.

Beyond the new video feed, Meta AI continues to serve as a hub for managing AI glasses, capturing moments, and exploring creative applications for photos and videos, with the Meta AI assistant remaining available for general queries and inspiration.

Meta concludes its announcement by inviting user feedback to inform future iterations of its AI video tools.
