Dubai Press Club launched the second edition of its Arab Podcast Program, offering young content creators across the Arab world an opportunity to develop their audio content skills. The five-week training initiative aims to strengthen Arabic content presence in the global digital market.
As Campaign reports, participants are guided through eight foundational modules covering all aspects of podcast production—from content strategy development and branding to technical skills including recording quality, hosting, and distribution. The program also addresses marketing strategies to help creators expand their audience.
“Podcasting is among the most engaging forms of media, particularly amongst younger audiences,” said Maryam AlMheiri, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, in a statement. “The programme is designed to be a comprehensive training platform, not limited to theoretical knowledge but also rich in intensive practical aspects.”
The training is conducted under the supervision of Charbel Issa, a certified trainer from Podeo, a podcasting platform in the Middle East and North Africa region.
As the program enters its second week, participants are preparing to pitch their podcast ideas. Each creator will receive personalized feedback from experts representing The Direction Podcast, Podcast Pro, and the Dubai Press Club to help refine their projects.
Dubai’s Influence
This initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader efforts to position itself as a hub for media innovation and digital content creation. Earlier this year, Dubai Press Club hosted a gathering of prominent digital content creators whose combined audience exceeds one billion followers, including notable figures from fashion, technology, education, and entertainment sectors.
“At DPC, we have built a strong network of relationships with this growing community of social media pioneers,” AlMheiri noted during that event.
Dubai also hosted the 1 Billion Followers Summit in January, which attracted over 15,000 content creators and 420 speakers across three days.
“Through this initiative, we aim to enhance the appeal and reach of Arabic content in the global digital space,” says AlMheiri of the Arab Podcast Programme, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to nurturing content creation talent in the region.
