MrBeastSets November 1 Premiere for Expanded ‘MrBeast Lab’ Animated Series

MrBeast has released a trailer for the next run of “MrBeast Lab,” his animated series, which premieres Nov. 1 on the “Beast Animations” YouTube channel. The new batch totals eight episodes and 100 minutes, introduces two new characters, and includes writers from “South Park” and “Bob’s Burgers.”

The first run consisted of ten three-minute shorts, which the production team describes as a way to test and learn about animation. Those shorts drew more than 66 million views. They ended with the Lab destroyed and the character Banana sacrificing himself to save his friends.

The new episodes pick up with no Lab and the shadow creatures called the Shroud closing in. The team follows a signal suggesting Banana may still be alive. The logline reads: “Banana gave everything to save his friends. Now he’s calling from the other side, and Panthar will do anything to bring him home. But someone or something else is listening.”

The series follows a team of beasts brought to life with Pandemonium, described as the living energy of creativity. Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, created them in the story to defend Earth from the Shroud.

Ben Bjelajac and Michael Cruz serve as showrunners. They wrote the series with Jameel Saleem, Lillian Yu, Conor Hanney, Charley Feldman, and Daniel Kibblesmith. Mike Roberts, who directed the first season, returns as consulting producer. Studio Moshi again handles animation. Beast Industries and Moose Toys produce the series.

Tied to a Toy Line

The series is based on MrBeast’s toy line with Moose Toys. According to the announcement, the line was named the No. 1 toy brand globally across Circana G12 markets in 2024, and rare collectibles have been listed for up to $25,000 on eBay.

The series builds on the “MrBeast Lab Swarms” collectibles, targets children ages 6 to 13, and ties content to commerce. The project followed MrBeast’s reality series “Beast Games” on Amazon Prime Video.

Other creators have moved into animation. Adam Waheed is developing an animated series with Frederator Studios and Wheelhouse DNA. Emily Brundige moved from short-form content to showrunning “Goldie” on Apple TV+. Toonstar has partnered with creator Nigel Ng on an animated series.
