Streamlabs Launches Mobile Feature to Combat IRL Streaming Dropouts

Logitech G’s Streamlabs has launched Network Boost, a mobile feature for Streamlabs Ultra subscribers designed to prevent stream disconnects for creators broadcasting outside a fixed studio setup. The tool combines WiFi and multiple cellular connections to keep a broadcast online without the bonding hardware that has traditionally cost creators thousands of dollars.

The launch responds to a specific growth curve. IRL streaming has expanded significantly on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick, and Twitch viewers alone consumed 391.6 million hours of IRL content over the past year, an 84.7% year-over-year increase, per the company. That growth has outpaced the connectivity options available to creators filming from convention floors, public streets, and live events, where a single cellular connection is often unstable.

“A dropped stream is far more than just an inconvenience; it means lost viewers and less revenue,” said Ashray Urs, Head of Streamlabs. “With Network Boost, we’re giving creators reliable connectivity without the physical or financial burden, so they get full freedom to explore and create, knowing their community will stay with them at every step.”

Creators can activate Network Boost through the Streamlabs Controller app on a secondary smartphone while broadcasting from a primary Streamlabs Mobile device. The system bonds cellular data and local WiFi across both devices to distribute the video feed, so that if one connection drops or slows in a crowded venue, the other keeps the stream live.

Network Boost follows Stream Shift, which Streamlabs debuted at TwitchCon San Diego in October 2025 and which lets creators move a live broadcast between desktop, phone, and tablet without ending the session or losing their audience. Both features run on the same server infrastructure, which Streamlabs has said also underpins safety tools in development, including AI-based blurring of sensitive visuals like street signs and phone numbers during public broadcasts.
