Zefr Expands Brand Safety Platform Into Türkiye, GCC, and Egypt Through Local Media Partnerships
Zefr, a provider of AI-powered brand safety and suitability solutions, announced strategic partnerships with Black C Media and RedC Media to expand its services across Türkiye, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and Egypt. Black C Media will serve as Zefr’s official partner in Türkiye, while RedC Media will support the GCC region, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, as well as Egypt.
The partnerships pair Zefr’s content classification technology with local market expertise, agency relationships, and hands-on activation support from the two regional firms. Advertisers and agencies in the region will gain access to Zefr’s contextual, brand safety and suitability capabilities on YouTube, backed by local sales, campaign activation, and strategic guidance in Turkish, Arabic and English, along with managed service support where needed.
“Türkiye, GCC and Egypt are not only fast-growing digital markets, they are culturally rich and highly nuanced regions where local context and cultural sensitivity are everything,” said Alexandra Kondrashtina, MENA Commercial Lead at Zefr, in a press release. “We are proud to partner with Black C Media and RedC Media to bring Zefr’s patented content intelligence to advertisers and agencies in the region.”
Cengiz Coşkun, Managing Director of Black C Media Türkiye, said brand sensitivity to unsafe content in the country “has never been higher,” noting that YouTube is Türkiye’s largest media platform with thousands of videos uploaded daily. He said Zefr’s suitability layer “processes every frame with AI” to find relevant context for brands within that volume of content while helping them avoid unsuitable environments.
Taher Jawadwala, Country Manager of Red C Media, pointed to YouTube’s reach in the GCC, where users spend more than 60 minutes daily on the platform, with penetration exceeding 94%. He said scale alone is not enough given the volume of controversial and misinformative content in the region’s social media environment, and that the partnership will help GCC brands deliver ads in brand-safe environments that drive measurable business outcomes.
Zefr’s platform combines contextual targeting, brand safety, suitability, measurement, and optimization for video and social media buying. The company holds Media Rating Council accreditation for content-level brand safety and suitability labeling and reporting on YouTube, the first third-party platform integration to receive that distinction. Zefr is headquartered in Los Angeles with additional offices in New York, Chicago, London, Toronto, and Singapore, among other locations.
