iShowSpeed Draws Crowds Of Hundreds In Hollywood On Final Day Of U.S. Tour
YouTube streamer iShowSpeed concluded his “Speed Does America Tour” with a high-profile appearance in Hollywood, drawing hundreds of fans who followed him around Hollywood Boulevard on September 30. The 20-year-old content creator, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., navigated the crowds with the help of personal security as he completed the final day of his 35-day livestreaming journey across the United States.
During his Hollywood visit, videos and social media posts show iShowSpeed posing with what appeared to be his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, generating widespread attention across platforms.

However, a review of official Hollywood Walk of Fame inductees confirms that iShowSpeed is not among the Class of 2025 honorees. The official Walk of Fame, which currently features 2,822 stars, added actress Fran Drescher as its newest honoree on the same date.
Tour Viewership
The Hollywood appearance capped a tour that began on August 28 and maintained a continuous livestream format. During his Los Angeles visit, Speed’s livestream reportedly peaked at more than 63,000 concurrent viewers as he visited Disneyland, Venice Beach, UCLA campus, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame area.
The tour faced challenges at earlier stops, including a September 14 incident at Houston’s Galleria mall where security and Houston Police officers escorted Speed from the premises, resulting in a ban from the location. The Houston livestream alone generated more than 2.1 million views.
The YouTuber’s tours demonstrate significant economic influence globally. His team reports that his previous European tour generated more than 2.5 billion views. Media in Latvia noted that Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania collectively contributed about €90,000 to support his visit, viewing it as cost-effective tourism promotion compared to traditional marketing campaigns.
Creator’s Rising Influence
Despite controversies, including a 2021 ban from Twitch, iShowSpeed has built a substantial digital presence with more than 44 million YouTube subscribers and more than 41 million TikTok followers. His channel has received nearly 5.7 billion views. Named “Most Influential Creator of 2025” by Rolling Stone magazine, Speed has expanded beyond gaming content to music, releasing tracks like “World Cup,” which charted in several countries.
His global travel content continues to generate massive engagement. During his January 2025 visit to Peru, viral clips showed local officials symbolically naming him ‘mayor of Lima for an hour,’ as thousands of fans greeted him.
