Influencer Taps Ryan Fitzpatrick To Scale Creator Payment Infrastructure As CFO
Creator marketing agency Influencer has appointed Ryan Fitzpatrick as Chief Financial Officer. Fitzpatrick joins from VaynerX, where he built financial systems and infrastructure supporting the company’s global growth.
The appointment comes as Influencer scales operations across regions and platforms while investing in Waves, its proprietary creator operating system. The agency, founded in 2015 by Caspar Lee and Ben Jeffries, employs more than 200 team members across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
“I saw an independent business with global presence, deep platform partnerships, a proprietary technology stack, and a mission that actually matters,” Fitzpatrick said. “This wasn’t a sideways move. It was a chance to join a company with the momentum, vision, and belief to become one of the defining creative and technology companies of the next decade.”
“Ryan is one of the standout finance leaders of the social era,” said CEO Jeffries. “He has spent years inside one of the strongest independent agencies globally. The fact he’s chosen Influencer next says everything about the momentum we’re building and the future he sees here.”
Fitzpatrick will oversee all financial operations as the company targets $1 billion in creator payments by 2034. His responsibilities encompass global operations, platform economics, creator payments, multi-market governance, technology investment, and long-term commercial strategy.
“The CFO role in our category is no longer about accounting – it’s about acceleration,” Jeffries added. “We’re building a company designed to power the creator era. To do that, you need a CFO who understands not only the financial mechanics of a high-growth organization, but the cultural and technological shifts redefining the marketing landscape.”
Technology and Platform Partnerships Support Growth
Influencer maintains official global marketing partnerships with TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snap, Meta, and Twitch. The agency has delivered more than 3,000 campaigns for brands including Spotify, SharkNinja, Google, Nike, Disney, and Coca-Cola.
Fitzpatrick’s appointment follows other recent leadership additions at Influencer. In October, the agency hired Emily Eldridge as Director of Commerce and Anastasia Evans as VP of Growth, both from TikTok.
The agency’s Waves platform automates operational workflows, including briefs, contracts, content submissions, feedback, payments, and performance tracking. Influencer positions the technology as infrastructure, enabling teams to focus on strategic work rather than administrative tasks.
