‘Call Her Daddy’ Host Alex Cooper Featured In New Hulu Docuseries
Alex Cooper, creator and host of the podcast “Call Her Daddy” is the subject of Hulu’s new two-part docuseries titled “Call Her Alex” that will debut at Tribeca Film Festival on June 8.
The documentary, which will make its Hulu premiere June 10, follows Cooper in the lead-up to her first tour, exploring her evolution from “a self-conscious kid growing up in Pennsylvania” to becoming “the CEO of a media empire in just six years,” as stated in the official logline.
“It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the moments that shaped me — the raw, the messy, the personal stuff I’ve never felt comfortable sharing until now,” Cooper said in a statement.
Media Empire Expansion
According to Variety, “Call Her Daddy” began in 2018 under Barstool Sports before moving to Spotify in 2021. In 2024, Cooper secured a $125 million multi-year deal with SiriusXM.
Cooper’s recent business ventures include launching Unwell Hydration, a beverage line available exclusively at Target stores nationwide from January, and moving “Call Her Daddy” video episodes from Spotify to YouTube as part of her SiriusXM partnership.
The Unwell brand, which also encompasses Cooper’s Gen Z media company Unwell Network, reportedly generates eight-figure revenue from merchandise sales alone.
“Call Her Alex” is directed by Ry Russo-Young and produced by Cooper’s Unwell Productions, with Russo-Young, Braden Bochner, and Christopher Foss serving as executive producers.
