He Left The Military To Conquer Art, Travel And Business – And He’s Clearly Just Getting Started

For Kristopher Anderson, creation is a calling that spans multiple mediums. The artist, travel and lifestyle content creator, and entrepreneur seamlessly blends photography, filmmaking, music production, and fashion design into a unified expression of his creative vision.

“I wouldn’t say just digital content creation was my calling. I’d say more so, creation in general,” Anderson says. His creative journey began in the U.S. Air Force, where nightshift Instagram scrolling exposed him to a world of creatives traveling the globe and producing cinematic visuals. “I saw a lot of people, taking drone shots, and making these films look like big budget movies, but it was just regular people doing content creation, and I think that’s where the spark kind of like grew.”

Finding His Voice on Social Media

Anderson’s foray into content creation started with encouraging feedback on his photography skills from friends in Houston in 2020. “People kept telling me like, ‘oh man, these pictures are really nice.’ And the more people kept doing that, the more I was like, ‘maybe I got a talent for this’,” he recalls. Motivated, he bought his first camera, taught himself through online resources, and eventually enrolled in school to hone his skills further.

In 2021, Anderson began sharing his creations on social media, kickstarting a journey that would see him amass millions of views and cultivate a dedicated following. One of his first viral hits was a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a poolside photo shoot, while a video teasing a unique dining experience suspended in the sky during a Dubai trip also captured viewers’ imagination.

Navigating the Creator-Entrepreneur Duality

“I would say the biggest challenges within content creation and just pursuing any type of entrepreneurial and artistic endeavor, is finding the balance between being an artist and being a creator in a business sense, because it’s two different ways of thinking,” he admits.

Early on, Anderson was reluctant to commercialize his artistry, wanting viewers to simply experience the beauty he captured. “When I first got on TikTok, I didn’t want to put words on my videos because I was so in my artistic realm and I was thinking like words and other stuff would take away from the video. I wanted people to see beautiful places in its simplicity and just focus on that.”

However, exposure to other multifaceted creators like Virgil Abloh helped broaden Anderson’s perspective on integrating artistic and commercial considerations. “I love watching interviews from people like Virgil Abloh, and just hearing his perspectives and other artists’ perspectives opened up my line of thinking when it comes to art and business”, he says. “Virgil is definitely a person that’s successful on both ends of it. And so I really respect his opinion.”

By strategically incorporating contextual elements like location details and pricing, Anderson found a way to provide value for his audience without compromising his creative core. “When I added context to it, I simply put words on it, that opened up my mind in seeing how I can deliver the content while still having the artistic expression, but also think about it from a business perspective of how it could provide value for someone.”

The Law of Attraction: Fueling Creativity and Entrepreneurship

Central to Anderson’s creative and entrepreneurial pursuits is the philosophical concept of the Law of Attraction, which he discovered through a friend’s book recommendation after leaving the military. The principles, rooted in quantum physics and manifestation, deeply resonated with his innate inclinations as a child.

This philosophy forms the foundation of his fashion brand, LOA (Law of Attraction), which he envisions as a vehicle for motivating and inspiring others through symbolism and iconography. “I want that impact for when people view the clothes and they learn about why I chose all the different symbols you see, or if you see a shirt design or just the little things that you see on the clothing. I hope that inspires a sense of self-belief and confidence in others,” Anderson says.

LOA’s offerings, ranging from suits to athletic wear, reflect Anderson’s versatile interests and commitment to sustainable practices. He sources eco-friendly, naturally made fabrics and favors vegan alternatives to materials like leather, minimizing waste through made-to-order production.

Anderson’s global travels have also influenced his fashion sense, with him often embracing local attire as a mark of respect and cultural immersion. “If I’m in the country, wearing the clothing is just another mark of embracing that culture,” he explains, recounting instances of donning ponchos in Mexico or traditional robes in Dubai.

The Future of Content Creation and Influencer Marketing

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, Anderson foresees a shift in influencer marketing towards creators who can deliver high-quality, cinematic storytelling that elicits emotional connections with audiences. “I think brands are going to make those type of creators ambassadors more so,” he predicts, citing the potential for long-term partnerships with influential voices in various fields.

For Anderson, the future holds a commitment to longer-form content that delves deeper into his creative processes and travel experiences. “I’ve mastered short form in all these different realms that I can consistently see ways I want to continue to, master it even more. But I definitely want to get more into longer form content,” he says, driven by a desire to share his journey in greater depth.

Overarching this creative evolution is Anderson’s unwavering trust in his unique path – a mindset he advises aspiring creators and entrepreneurs to cultivate. “Trust yourself… you have to trust that the way you’re going about doing your things are going to pan out to follow the vision that you have in mind.”

Through his multifaceted artistry, global adventures, and steadfast self-belief, Kristopher Anderson is forging a distinctive creative identity that transcends traditional boundaries, blending art, travel, fashion, and philosophy into a cohesive expression of his boundless imagination.
