TikTok, has officially launched its Creator Rewards Program after completing a beta testing period, the company announced

“With a community as unique and diverse as ours, we remain committed to investing in the best tools and technology for our creators to unleash their creativity, build their community and monetize in a way that’s most authentic to them,” TikTok states.

The latest addition – building on the Creativity Program Beta unveiled last year – is part of the platform’s strategy to promote longer videos by enticing creators to engage in captivating storytelling for potential rewards. “As we officially introduce Creator Rewards Program, we look forward to continuing to partner with our creators and helping them realize their full potential,” the company says.

Rewards Formula Based on Four Key Metrics

The program rewards high-quality, original content over one minute long based on four core metrics: originality, play duration, search value, and audience engagement.

The optimized rewards formula incentivizes originality by valuing unique creator perspectives and creative processes that resonate with communities. Play duration accounts for both watch time and completion rates, rewarding clear and engaging videos rather than sheer volume. 

Audience engagement factors such as likes, comments, and shares increase a video’s value. Search value ties videos to popular search terms, boosting visibility for in-demand topics that align with viewer interests.

Creators also automatically earn rewards based on their community’s ad watch time, determined by the account’s advertising value. Eligibility requires being at least 18 years old with 10,000+ followers and 100,000+ views in the past 30 days on a personal account in good standing where the program is available.

An Elevated Dashboard Provides Deep Insights

To support creators, TikTok has enhanced the program’s dashboard with detailed performance analytics and data customization. Individual video pages display key metrics like RPM, qualified video views, view trends, insights, and explanations. Creators gain access to payout records for visibility into past and projected earnings.

The new dashboard also integrates the Creator Academy educational hub, providing rules, guidance, and strategic insights directly within the program interface. Rolling out over the coming weeks, the dashboard aims to empower creators with the insights needed to build successful content strategies.

Supporting Creators With Comprehensive Education and Monetization Resources

Beyond the program dashboard, TikTok has unveiled the new in-app Creator Academy as a central education hub with multilingual resources, courses, articles, videos, and insights for creators of all levels.

The enhanced in-app Creator Tools Monetization module serves as a monetization command center, consolidating revenue analysis across all enabled monetization features. Personalized insights and recommendations guide strategic content approaches, supplemented by case studies highlighting other creators’ successful tactics.

Moreover, TikTok University and the Creator Newsletter provide additional educational opportunities for creators to maximize their potential on the platform. 

All videos in the Creator Rewards Program must adhere to TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service to protect the community’s safety, per the website. Comprehensive safety resources are available through the Creator Academy.
