All About This Is Important Podcast: Conversations With Today’s Most Influential Personalities

Introduction to This is Important Podcast

This is important is nowhere as important as you think it is, but who are we to determine what’s important and what is not?

In this podcast, the boys dictate what’s important, and you just follow along for thrills and giggles. Each episode is all over the place with random topics ranging from why Beyonce is famous to pens that can write in space.

All About This Is Important Podcast: Conversations With Today’s Most Influential Personalities

Something along the lines of the Leo & Danny Show and the F*** Men podcast, but slightly more filtered and censored. “This is important” is a weekly podcast with a new episode released every Tuesday, each week with a whole new range of wild topics.

The podcast has grown almost four times its base audience, mainly due to the funny topics discussed in each episode and each host having their own fanbase.

In its takeoff years in 2022, the podcast would get an average viewing of 2 – 3k, a long way from where the boys are now.

One of the most viewed episodes from the podcast being “Jäger Fountains, Jet Skis, and Dude Dick,” getting over 130,000 views, a record-breaking high compared to other episodes.

What started as an audio-only podcast expanded to Youtube, diversifying its audience and creating multiple streams of viewers to help them reach the level of competence they’re at today.

The podcast is still yet to reach its full market potential, and based on how fast they’re growing, it’ll hit targets of 100,000 views and more in less than one year.

The Creators Behind This is Important podcast

The popular podcast is one of the many podcasts sponsored by iheart radio targeting younger generations, mainly millennials and Gen Z consumers.

The creators of the “This is important podcast” come from the popular sitcom “Workaholics,” which was on the verge of becoming a movie before the production company Paramount canceled its filming.

There is no single creator behind the establishment of the podcast; instead, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Kyle Newacheck, and Blake Anderson are all considered the main creators of the podcast.

All four hosts have careers outside of the podcast, yet still commit to a popular weekly episode of nonsense every Tuesday.

Stars of This is important took advantage of the spotlight and launched their first very episode days after their movie got canceled, helping them build a fast following while they’re still trending.

iheart kickstarted the series through promotion, and it took off to host on all major platforms, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Youtube.

Themes and Topics Covered

It is difficult to classify what topics and themes the podcast covers due to it being a show inclusive of everything important and worthwhile. However here are a few of the most viewed episodes to help get a better idea on what to expect.

RIP: The Workaholics Movie

The whole reason this podcast came to exist, “RIP the workaholics movie,” ranks as one of the most viewed episodes as the boys elaborate on how it all fell apart.

Reminiscing on good ole times and how the stars felt like nothing was standing between them and eternal fame than the movie they were making.

In this episode, the hosts discuss what was to come in the promised movie, everything from scenes to scripts and improv, and even the studio setup for each actor.

You won’t enjoy this episode unless you’ve watched the Workaholics series. However, the boys also throw in some secrets about other sketches they did before the fame and troll each other about them throughout the episode.

Celebrities Rock! (But Their Bands Don’t)

In this episode of This is important, laughs and giggles are on actors who had a band, such as Jhonny Depp, Bruce Willis, Jason Schwartzman, and more.

Heated debates on how we live in a simulation, a look into the hosts’ high school lives, and a long back and forth on what is the single best movie.

A pop-culture-rich episode with a take on movies from every genre, the Celebrities Rock episode also dives into why Hollywood actors attempt to start a band in the first place.

Their knowledge as insiders makes this episode extremely popular, generating over 110,000 views since September 2021.

The boys theorize about many things on the podcast, but you best believe it will be an “Important” conversation when debating acting or evaluating actors’ performances.

How to Smoke Weed Around Kids

Plant medicine, as Blake and Adam call it, is the center of this episode. The hosts let viewers in on their funny stories of smoking weed and its relation to acting and creating comedy skits.

One of the funniest episodes to this day; highlights of it include the story when Blake’s dog ate half an ounce of weed, roasting the structure of modern families, and what catastrophes smoking on set can cause.

This episode is for any viewer, whether they followed the workaholics or have never seen it before. It includes personal and familial stories, what it was like growing up, and how their parents used to disguise themselves when smoking.

Reach of This is Important

The “This is important Podcast” has roughly 70,000 subscribers on youtube, 139,000 followers on Instagram, and 122,000 followers on TikTok.

One of the most random podcasts that follows a freestyle structure of whatever comes to mind and springs from the previous topic.

“This is important” discusses a broad range of subjects that last anywhere from 3 to 8 minutes of debate before hosts change topics because the boys may have gone too far.

Due to the podcast’s theme of the original Workaholics series, almost every discussion ends up being intertwined with acting or memories from the show.

You can expect to hear about their best moments as a team, childhood stories, theories on funny matters, and challenges or dares on a team level.

With witty comedy and silly reactions, “This is important” follows a relatively similar narrative to the original Workaholics in its easy-to-follow pace and audacious humor.

Reception and Impact

Creating the podcast was undoubtedly one of the best moves the team could have made, as they now all have a career outside of the pod but still cherish and pay tribute to one of their biggest collaborative success.

“This is important” has a comprehensive target market and appeals to everyone with an improvisational or witty sense of humor. Followers of the podcast are mainly young adults and teens since the famous series targets them, but demographics a broadening as they continue to grow.
