Iris London has named Joe Goulcher, formerly Groupe Creative Director at Publicis Groupe, as its Social & PR Creative Director. The appointment is part of the agency’s push to integrate its social, PR and wider creative output.

Goulcher will report to Melo Meacher-Jones, Iris’ Head of Social and Influencer, and will oversee output across social and PR with a stated focus on putting earned and social thinking at the center of the agency’s creative work.

His career spans PR, social, gaming, entertainment and brand-side marketing. He began in PR at M&C Saatchi before moving client-side at EE and Moonpig. He then held senior creative roles at the agencies Coolr, Clockwork UK and Territory Studio, where he led global social creative for Xbox and Microsoft and worked on entertainment campaigns for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney and Apple TV. His work has been recognized by the SABRE Awards, and he has judged industry programs including The Drum Awards, the UK Social Media Awards, the BAFTA Games Awards and the Effies.

Meacher-Jones said Goulcher “brings a brilliant mix of experience across PR, social, entertainment and creative, having worked both agency-side and in-house with some of the world’s biggest brands.” She added: “As we look to bring our capabilities closer together and push our creative ambition further, Joe’s experience and perspective will be invaluable.”

Goulcher said Iris is “making real waves in social and PR, and there’s a huge opportunity to build on that momentum,” adding that he wants to push the agency’s creative thinking “into new territory, with craft and innovation at the heart of what we do.” He said the goal includes “breaking down traditional agency and brand silos, working more closely with clients and creating the kind of ambitious, fame-driving work that makes a genuine impact.”

Founded in 1999, Iris London is a creative agency whose clients include Samsung, Bentley, Beiersdorf, Ikea, Barclays and KP Snacks.
