Podium (Formerly The Roost Podcast Network) Signs Four New Creator-Led Podcasts Following Relaunch

Podium, the video-first podcast network formerly known as “The Roost Podcast Network,” has signed four new creator-led shows: “Bite Back” with Abbey Sharp, “Commander at Home” with Brian Kibler and Olivia Gobert-Hicks, “Love, Lex P,” and “Stan Wars” with Olivia Lopes and Ian Slater. The announcement comes one month after Podium’s parent company, the talent management firm Night, relaunched The Roost as Podium and signed Trisha Paytas’ “Just Trish” as its first major partnership.

Podium’s existing roster includes “This Past Weekend” with Theo Von, “Sam & Colby Reacts,” “The Yard,” “Weekly Teacap” with Kristi Cook, and “Just Trish.” Combined, the network’s shows reach more than 50 million monthly video and audio impressions and over 66 million followers across platforms, according to the company.

Podium said the signings reflect its approach of giving creators infrastructure and resources to grow their shows into media businesses without requiring them to give up ownership. For “Stan Wars,” the company is developing and producing the show in-house, managing audience development, and providing a paid-media budget to promote clips. For “Commander at Home,” which had operated primarily on YouTube, Podium worked with Spotify to launch the show into Spotify Video and expand its distribution across audio platforms, in addition to supporting guest booking.

“I’m so excited for this next chapter of ‘Bite Back’ and to be working with Podium,” said Abbey Sharp, the registered dietitian and nutrition creator behind the show. “What really stood out to me about Podium was having a partner that understands what we’re building and wants to help us take it even further, while still giving us the freedom to keep ‘Bite Back’ completely our own.”

Brian Kibler and Olivia Gobert-Hicks, who host “Commander at Home,” said they were looking to grow the show “with even more great guests, fun games, and good dogs.”

Podium also positions its commercial model around cross-platform brand deals that span podcasts, video, and social content produced by its creators, rather than selling individual show inventory. “These four shows reflect the range of what we’re building at Podium,” said Catherine Browne, the company’s VP of Revenue & Partnerships. “From internet culture to nutrition to gaming, each of these podcasts taps into a different corner of fandom.”
