The role

We’re looking for a YouTube and Social Media Manager to take ownership of the editorial social channels for Dentistry.co.uk and lead the growth of our YouTube presence.

This is a full-time, hybrid role combining channel strategy, audience development and hands-on content creation. You’ll work alongside journalists, marketers and designers to transform ideas, interviews, industry news and existing editorial material into compelling content for dental professionals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Planning, creating and publishing content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X

• Developing and delivering a clear YouTube growth plan

• Producing short-form videos, reels, clips, graphics and carousels

• Optimising titles, thumbnails, descriptions and playlists

• Creating repeatable video programmes and series

• Managing the social content calendar and responding to industry developments

• Using audience data, including retention, watch time, click-through rate and engagement, to improve performance

• Growing reach, followers, subscribers and referral traffic to Dentistry.co.uk

Requirements, qualifications, minimum levels of experience

  • We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ professional social media experience, hands-on YouTube knowledge, practical video-editing skills and a strong editorial instinct. You’ll be an excellent writer, a confident ideas person and a highly organised collaborator.
  • An interest in dentistry and the issues affecting dental professionals is a definite advantage—but deep sector experience isn’t essential.
  • Interested in helping shape the next chapter of Dentistry.co.uk’s social and video presence? We’d love to hear from you.
