VP/Director of Influencer Marketing
About the Role
The VP/Director Influencer Marketing shapes and activates creator-led marketing strategies that drive brand relevance, audience connection, and measurable business impact. Influencer and creator marketing is no longer an experimental add-on—it is a core driver of modern media effectiveness.
In this role, you will help brands invest in creator partnerships strategically and authentically, building scalable programs with clear performance goals, accountability, and long-term value.
Where You'll Work
This role sits within our Media organization, reflecting how creators and influencers are increasingly treated as paid, performance-driven media partners—not just organic or PR-led tactics. Today’s creator programs require the same rigor as other media investments, including budget planning, channel mix decisions, optimization, and measurement.
You’ll collaborate closely with Strategy, Creative, Social, Analytics, and Client Service teams to ensure creator investments are culturally relevant, brand-safe, and results-driven.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the development of influencer and creator strategies across paid, earned, and hybrid programs
• Identify, vet, and manage relationships with creators and micro-influencers aligned to brand objectives and audience targets
• Partner with Media Planning teams to integrate creator investments into paid media budgets, flighting, and channel mix
• Oversee creator brief development, content frameworks, usage rights, and amplification strategies
• Collaborate with Creative and Social teams to ensure creator content aligns with brand voice while maintaining authenticity
• Manage creator partnerships end-to-end, including outreach, contracting, timelines, deliverables, and approvals
• Work with Analytics and Media Operations teams to define success metrics, track performance, and optimize programs in-flight
• Stay current on emerging platforms, creator formats, and cultural trends, translating them into actionable client opportunities
• Educate clients on the business value of influencer and creator marketing, including when and how to invest
What You Bring
• Deep understanding of creator marketing as a paid, scalable media channel—not just organic social
• Strong instincts for cultural relevance, audience fit, and creator credibility
• Experience aligning influencer strategies to brand objectives and performance KPIs (reach, engagement, traffic, conversion)
• Ability to evaluate creators using both qualitative judgment and quantitative signals
• Comfort managing external partners, creators, and platforms
• Clear communicator who can confidently sell ideas internally and to clients
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail across multiple campaigns
Qualifications
• 12-15 years of experience in media, social, influencer, or digital marketing (level dependent)
• Agency or professional services experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience planning, activating, or managing influencer and creator campaigns
• Familiarity with creator platforms and social ecosystems including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels
• Experience managing paid media budgets and performance measurement
• Strong collaboration skills across Media, Strategy, Creative, Analytics, and Client Service
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
