MVPR — Los Angeles VIP & Influencer PR Internship
Headquartered in New York City with a Los Angeles showroom, MVPR works with an international roster of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands across New York, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Bangkok, Copenhagen and beyond. MVPR develops culturally relevant and creative communications strategies across Celebrity, VIP, Influencer and Editorial PR.
MVPR is seeking detail-oriented and enthusiastic students to participate in our Los Angeles internship program for academic credit. This internship is designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the fashion PR industry and an understanding of how an agency supports clients across VIP, Influencer and Editorial communications.
Interns will learn alongside the MVPR team through a combination of training, observation and supervised participation in agency activities. The ideal candidate has an interest in fashion and communications, is eager to learn more about VIP and Influencer PR, follows digital and social media trends, and is comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:
- Internship for academic/school credit
- Learn how stylist appointments, celebrity seeding and influencer gifting programs are coordinated
- Gain exposure to monitoring and tracking press, celebrity and influencer placements across digital and social platforms
- Learn how PR databases and contact lists for influencers, editors and stylists are organized and maintained
- Gain hands-on experience with fashion showroom organization and sample-management processes
- Assist with supervised coordination of stylist sample loans and returns
- Conduct research related to seasonal trends, industry news, talent and influencers
- Learn how client reporting is developed and assist with compiling information for monthly reports
- Gain exposure to the strategy and execution behind celebrity and influencer gifting campaigns
- Participate in additional learning opportunities and projects across the agency based on current client activity
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be eligible to receive academic/school credit for participation
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program
- Must be based in the Los Angeles area and able to participate in person
- Approximately 2–3 days per week, based on the student’s academic schedule and school requirements
- Minimum three-month commitment
- Interest in fashion, communications, public relations, marketing or a related field preferred
- Previous fashion or PR experience is welcomed but not required
