Video Editor & Studio Production Assistant
ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you love turning raw footage into a cut that holds attention to the last second?
Do you get a thrill from running a shoot day where every script, actor and set is exactly where it should be?
And would you love to own an entire in-house production, from booking the studio to handing over the edited ad?
Then this might just be your dream role. 😎
At GrowtHub, our Video Editor & Studio Production Assistant is an editor first. You cut footage, turn specific shots into AI footage and jump in to support any team whenever it's needed. You also run our in-house production end to end: the weekly Thursday studio session plus street interviews, and the bi-weekly Monday test session for new actors. You are our single point of contact with the studio, you direct the actors, you keep the booking and the money exact, and you can run the whole operation alone for at least two weeks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Edit first. Cut studio, street interview and creator footage into short-form vertical ads, following the brief and the editor notes.
- Turn real footage into AI footage. Restyle, extend or rebuild specific shots with AI video tools when a scene needs it.
- Support every team when needed. Editing, AI generation, production or ops: when a pod or the studio is short on hands, you step in and close the gap.
- Own the weekly production calendar. Collect actor needs from the strategists, chase missing scripts, estimate the session length, fill the cost sheet and book the studio hours, every week, on fixed cut-offs.
- Cast and confirm. Pick the best actors across all clients' scripts, confirm them with the creator managers, check for cancellations the night before and replace anyone who drops out yourself.
- Prep the shoot. Order the script list by format, send the studio the links in that order, transcribe the teleprompter and street interview scripts, and plan the full day.
- Run the set. Check sets and framing at every change, direct experienced and new actors to strong takes, make light wording fixes on the spot and run the two-phone street interview setup.
- Run the Monday test session. Test a new actor alongside a core actor on a different set, trim the re-film list, exclude clients who don't accept extra ads and judge whether the new actor earns a spot on the core roster.
- Close the money. Count the actual hours used, calculate the studio cost in pesos, get the receipt with the USD conversion, and send creator managers the pay per actor based on real hours worked.
- Hand over the footage. Check the item count against the scripts filmed, report anything missing to the studio and pass the footage to the creator managers for QA.
- Build the actor pipeline. Review self-tapes, move qualified candidates forward, get them tested on a Monday and promote the strong ones to the core roster.
- Hold the line. Scripts are due end of Monday. Chase late submissions, push back on exceptions and check that creator managers hit their deadlines.
- Keep bringing new formats in-house. Learn what good looks like per format and per set, and expand what we can shoot ourselves.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Strong video editing skills. A portfolio of short-form vertical ads you cut yourself (UGC, podcast clips, street interviews) in Premiere Pro, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve.
- Hands-on experience with AI video tools like Higgsfield, Kling or Seedance, or the drive to learn them fast.
- A team player who's happy to switch between editing, AI and production in the same week.
- Native or near-native English. You will fix scripts on set and judge actors' delivery and accent.
- A production eye. Framing, set dressing and knowing what good looks like per format.
- Talent direction skills. You get strong takes efficiently from experienced and first-time actors.
- Casting judgment. You can evaluate a self-tape and an on-set performance.
- Estimation skills. You can predict shoot length from the formats, the actors and the script lengths.
- Basic budgeting. Cost sheets, hourly rates and peso/USD payments.
- Comfort using Notion, Google Sheets, Google Drive, WhatsApp and teleprompter apps.
- Organized, detail-obsessed and deadline-driven. Script order, links, file counts, payments and receipts all have to be exact.
- Calm under pressure. You improvise on set and in the street without losing the plan.
- An assertive communicator who chases people, sets clear expectations and is reachable the night before a shoot. 🚀
HOW WE'LL MEASURE SUCCESS (KPIs)
- Edit Turnaround: 30 to 90 minutes per concept, with first cuts delivered by the agreed deadline.
- Edit Quality: Client re-works and error rate below 5%. Cuts pass review with minor notes only, no full re-edits.
- Booking Accuracy: Studio hours booked within about 1 hour of hours used. Never underbooked.
- Prep On Time: Scripts ordered, links sent and teleprompter loaded by Wednesday for Thursday and by Friday for Monday, every week.
- Footage Completeness: Item count matches the scripts filmed, with anything missing reported to the studio the same day.
- Payments Closed: Studio receipt and actor pay amounts sent by the Monday after every session, with pay based on actual hours.
- Cancellation Coverage: Every cancelled actor replaced before the shoot, with no session lost.
- Casting Pipeline: A new actor tested on every Monday session and self-tapes reviewed weekly.
- Independence: Able to run both sessions alone for two weeks with no escalations beyond overtime pay.
