Job Title:Video & Content Creator Reports to: Head of Marketing Working with: Marketing Team and wider business. Location: Magherafelt Hours of Work: 37.5 per week Monday Friday About BlocOut BlocOut (part of the Bloc Group) is a direct-to-consumer brand making blackout blinds that actually block out light, sold online across the UK and Ireland. We design and manufacture here in Magherafelt, which means our content comes straight from the source: the factory floor, the people who make the product, and the customers who use it. Purpose of the Role Werelooking for a hands-on creator who can take an idea from brief to finished piece andis equallycomfortablebehind andin front of the camera. Youll ownthefilming, editing and presentingthatsupportsour paid social, website and organic channels.Workingfrom concepts and scripts supplied by our agency partner, youllbringthoseideas tolife while contributing your own.This is apractical productionrole, withmost oftheweek spent shooting, editingandcreating. Key Responsibilities: Shoot product, lifestyle, UGC-style and behind-the-scenes video, on location in homes and in our Magherafelt factory Present on camera for product demos, how-tos and brand content Edit short-form video for Meta, Instagram and TikTok in vertical, square and landscape formats, with captions, motion text and sound Turn agency concepts and scripts into finished ads, delivering multiple variations and hooks for testing Produce supporting content for the website, email and product pages, including how-to and fitting videos Take product and lifestyle photography for social and web Write captions and short copy to go with your content Direct on-camera talent, from staff and the founder to customers and creators Manage the shoot calendar, kit and asset library so content is organised and easy to find Keep up with platform trends and bring fresh creative ideas to the team What you will bring: A strong portfolio of video you've shot and edited yourself for brands, businesses or organisations (essential) Confidence in front of the camera as well as behind it; you're happy to present, demo product and be a face of the brand Confidence creating video, photography and short written copy for social and web Confidence with Premiere Pro, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve; After Effects is a bonus Solid camera, lighting and audio skills on both a camera and a smartphone Required Skills & Experience: Essential: A strong understanding of social platforms and what makes audiences stop, watch and engage An understanding of how content builds brand awareness and drives online sales A knack for turning ideas, conversations and factory visits into content people want to watch Organisation and attention to detail, so you can juggle multiple projects without dropping quality Comfort working with external partners such as agencies, customers and creators A full driving licence (for location shoots) Desirable: Experience in e-commerce, DTC or paid social content (desirable) Why join us: The Bloc Group is a global design, manufacturing and technology business headquartered in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, with operations across the UK, Europe and the US.
