Title Social Manager, Film
The social team at Netflix is on the pulse of conversation among Netflix's consumers, not just listening, but participating in and starting thoughtful, hilarious, exciting discussions with fans across social. Netflix is looking for a social expert to reach and connect with all kinds of movie lovers, from cinephiles and armchair critics to YA and rom-com fans, to best support its film titles.
Title Social Managers are responsible for the entirety of a social campaign on their assigned titles and slates. They understand social marketing and the digital landscape as well as Netflix's unique social ecosystem, and work cross-functionally to align social strategy with larger marketing strategies. Their goal is to make titles break through on social, generating interest and conversation across the full duration of a title campaign.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a film's social strategy, aligned with the overall marketing campaign, including target audience, social creative, and content distribution
- Manage the launch of key marketing assets across social, plus larger slate-level and multi-title campaigns
- Serve as the main point of contact for social strategy and creative across Marketing, Publicity, Content, and other teams
- Deliver the full suite of content to support a title across the planned social ecosystem for the entire campaign, including on-set capture and talent-led content
- Work with retainer agencies to source additional social content and drive innovation and creative excellence
Background and Specific Skills
- 8+ years of experience in social marketing for film, entertainment, or related industries
- Experience delivering nuanced, insight-based social strategies on broad, multi-platform marketing campaigns
- Experience working directly with filmmakers, skilled in pitching and presenting with the ability to read the room
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social media analytics with a willingness to take big risks
Generally, Netflix's compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; there are no bonuses. Employees choose each year how much of their compensation they want in salary versus stock options. The range for this role is $177,000 to $306,000, based on job family, background, skills, and experience.
