Talent Manager, Influencer
Lumin Talent is redefining talent and brand partnerships through bold, forward-thinking innovation. We connect creators, athletes, and brands with precision - building partnerships that feel authentic, perform meaningfully, and create long-term value.
Our approach combines relationship-driven talent management with data, technology, and strategic brand partnerships. Through our proprietary technology and hands-on management, we help talent spend less time managing the business of content and more time doing what they do best: creating.
The Role
We are looking for a Talent Manager to join Lumin Talent and play a key role in managing, growing, and advocating for a roster of creators and athletes. The Talent Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of a roster of creators and/or athletes, serving as a strategic partner to talent while owning the day-to-day business of their brand partnerships.
You will manage opportunities from initial inbound interest and outbound prospecting through negotiation, contracting, campaign execution, reporting, and relationship management. You will work closely with each talent to understand their goals, creative voice, audience, and career ambitions, then translate those into meaningful brand opportunities and long-term partnerships.
This role is equal parts relationship builder, business developer, project manager, negotiator, and talent advocate.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, commercially minded, plugged into the creator economy, and genuinely excited about helping talent build sustainable careers.
Responsibilities
Talent Management & Relationship Building
- Manage a dedicated roster of creators and/or athletes as their day-to-day business partner and primary point of contact for Lumin Talent.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with talent and become deeply familiar with their content, audience, brand positioning, goals, and business priorities.
- Act as an advocate for talent in all brand negotiations and partnership discussions.
- Help talent navigate brand relationships while protecting their creative voice, reputation, and long-term interests.
- Partner with talent on pricing, positioning, partnership strategy, content opportunities, and career growth.
- Keep talent focused on creating exceptional content while Lumin manages the business and operational side of partnerships.
Brand Partnerships & Business Development
- Manage inbound brand opportunities from initial inquiry through negotiation, execution, and completion.
- Proactively identify and source outbound brand opportunities aligned with each talent's audience, content, interests, and goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brands, agencies, PR firms, media companies, and other industry partners.
- Pitch talent to relevant brands and proactively create partnership opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound demand.
- Negotiate rates, deliverables, usage rights, exclusivity, timelines, and other commercial terms on behalf of talent.
- Identify opportunities to expand one-off campaigns into recurring and long-term brand relationships.
- Stay current on creator marketing trends, brand activity, cultural moments, and emerging opportunities across social platforms.
Campaign & Workflow Management
- Own the campaign lifecycle from opportunity through final deliverable and payment.
- Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, creative briefs, approvals, revisions, posting requirements, usage rights, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate campaign trackers, talent calendars, opportunity pipelines, and internal systems.
- Coordinate between talent, brands, agencies, legal, and internal Lumin teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Anticipate potential issues and proactively resolve challenges throughout the campaign process.
- Ensure all campaign commitments and contractual obligations are clearly communicated and tracked.
- Leverage Lumin's proprietary technology to streamline talent management, campaign workflow, reporting, and relationship management.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor campaign and talent performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
- Utilize audience and performance data to inform brand targeting, pricing, partnership strategy, and talent positioning.
- Prepare and communicate campaign performance insights and reporting to talent and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of partnership history, performance, rates, and brand relationships.
Talent Growth & Roster Development
- Support Lumin Talent's continued growth by identifying and recruiting high-quality creators and athletes who align with the agency's vision.
- Research and prospect emerging talent across lifestyle, food, travel, home, fashion, sports, entertainment, and other relevant verticals.
- Participate in talent outreach, introductory calls, roster evaluation, and onboarding.
- Help identify gaps in Lumin's roster and proactively source talent that expands the agency's capabilities and brand relationships.
- Contribute to Lumin's broader business development and growth initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing, talent management, creator partnerships, brand partnerships, talent agency, social media, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the creator economy and how creators, athletes, brands, agencies, and platforms work together.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with creators, athletes, brands, agencies, and other industry partners.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial instincts, with the ability to advocate for talent while creating value for brand partners.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple talent, campaigns, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to own a process from beginning to end.
- Data-minded and comfortable using social performance and audience insights to inform decisions.
- An active consumer of social media who understands emerging platforms, creators, trends, and internet culture.
- Genuine passion for creators, athletes, storytelling, and the business behind digital talent.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to identify opportunities, solve problems, and contribute beyond a defined job description.
- Experience with creator management, CRM, campaign management, social analytics, or talent management platforms is a plus.
If you're excited by the creator economy, thrive in a high-accountability environment, and want to have a meaningful role in building both talent careers and a growing company, we'd love to meet you.
