We seek a Creative Sync Coordinator / Audio Catalog Specialist for our Sync department based in our Los Angeles office. You must have a minimum of 4 years' experience working in music publishing, licensing, music supervision, or a similar music industry role. This creative position reports to the President, Global Sync, and would involve working closely with the entire Sync team and other Primary Wave departments. A main focus of the position is managing our company’s audio library using DISCO and other digital audio platforms.
To be successful, you should have:
- 4+ years of experience in music publishing, licensing, music supervision, or a related music industry role, with a strong understanding of music publishing, copyright, and the sync licensing process.
- Established relationships across the sync industry, with a broad knowledge and passion for music across genres, eras, film, TV, advertising, and pop culture.
- Advanced proficiency with digital audio formats and music pitching platforms such as DISCO, iTunes, etc, as well as executing sync e-blasts and creative tools including Mailchimp, Photoshop, Canva, or similar platforms
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong multitasking skills and experience managing digital audio/video files, contact databases, and Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Passionate about music of all styles and eras, sync, film, tv, creative advertising and pop culture and flexible for occasional travel and team-based collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take on new challenges.
Your responsibilities as the Synch Coordinator / Audio Catalog Specialist will include:
- Manage and organize the department’s audio catalog, ensuring accurate metadata and efficient ingestion into DISCO and other sync archives.
- Coordinate with artists, representatives, co-rights holders, and internal departments to obtain music, assets, and other materials.
- Support the development and execution of sync department e-blast campaigns and creative pitching initiatives and other marketing efforts.
- Curate and pitch targeted song playlists from company catalogs for film, TV, advertising, video games, and other sync opportunities.
- Maintain client and industry contact databases, oversee administrative and team support tasks including intern supervision, and actively participate in creative and team meetings.

This position's estimated base salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, years of relevant experience, business needs, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by Primary Wave. The salary range is subject to change at any time and depends on internal and external factors.
