Social Media Specialist - Outback

Outback Steakhouse is looking for a Social Media Specialist to strengthen the brand's relevance and increase engagement across social platforms. This role turns social conversations into insights, identifies cultural and consumer trends, and helps the brand show up in timely, authentic ways. The specialist will monitor social platforms, engage with creators and fans, amplify brand mentions, and recommend opportunities that support brand strategy. The role reports to the Brand Marketing Manager and is hybrid, with at least three days a week in the Tampa office.

Key responsibilities

• Social listening and insights: monitor social conversations to identify emerging trends, cultural moments, competitive activity, and brand sentiment, and turn them into actionable recommendations; lead timely content opportunities to join trending conversations
• Proactive community engagement: engage with creators, fans, and online communities; respond to organic brand mentions and user-generated content; escalate guest concerns to Guest Relations; work with social and PR agencies on real-time engagement
• Content planning and execution: partner with the social media agency on content plans; support content creation, shoots, and posting; measure and report content performance; support the Brand Manager on influencer activations as needed

Requirements

• BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant social media marketing experience across Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit
• Experience with social media management tools to monitor conversations, manage engagement, and support reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Analytical thinker who can gather insights and develop clear recommendations
