ABOUT UNIQUE VINTAGE

Unique Vintage is a Los Angeles-based, female-founded ecommerce of 26+ years brand selling vintage-inspired women's fashion, known for its expressive silhouettes, licensed IP collaborations and fiercely loyal community.

We're looking for a Social Media & Partnerships Manager who doesn't just execute content and partnerships, they build a revenue engine, grow a community, and entertain an audience.

THE ROLE

You will own social media as both a brand channel and a revenue driver, constructing and managing the affiliate and creator community programs while playing a direct role in UV's brand repositioning this year actively helping shape how it comes to life across every platform.

You'll collaborate closely with our Brand Marketing Director, Creative Producer, Paid Media, and Product to bring campaigns to life. You'll support defining the systems, set the cadence, establish what "great" looks like for UV social, and execute against it daily. You'll be resourceful, fast, and proud of what you can make with a phone and good instincts.

The best person for this role doesn't clock out from social media at 5pm. They're studying it constantly — what's working, what's dying, who's doing it brilliantly, and why. They have a growth mindset at all times. They know the difference between a brand that markets on social and a brand that owns social, and they're obsessed with being the latter. They are culturally plugged in and know how to balance trend versus brand with excellent taste.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SOCIAL STRATEGY & REVENUE GROWTH

  • Own and grow UV's social presence across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and ShopMy — and develop emerging channels
  • Support and execute UV's social strategy — channel priorities, content pillars, posting cadence, and revenue attribution framework
  • Understand platform algorithms deeply — not just best practices, but how they're shifting and what that means for UV's content approach week to week
  • Develop a testing framework for content formats, posting cadences, and platform-specific creative
  • Pilot TikTok Shop as an incremental revenue channel and explore other sales channel opportunities through a content lens
  • Identify high-performing organic content with paid potential and flag it proactively for the paid media team
  • Track and report on social-driven revenue, engagement, follower growth, and affiliate performance
  • Partner with omni-channel marketing on campaign amplification and cross-channel moments
  • Monitor cultural trends, trend cycles, and platform algorithm shifts in real time — and move on them before they peak
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis: know which brands have the best social, why it works, and what UV can learn or do differently
  • Actively shape how UV's brand repositioning comes to life on social — this is not a briefing-execution relationship, this is a creative partnership

CONTENT PLANNING & CREATION

  • Manage the content calendar infrastructure — tools, templates, approval workflows, and weekly cadence
  • Manage and scale UV’s content engine and content application across channels
  • Capture content daily — IRL, in the office, in a fitting room if that's what the moment calls for; you know how to shoot and edit a Reel on your phone and post it while it's still timely
  • Attend photoshoots, fittings, events, and launches to capture real-time BTS and social-first content
  • Write clear, detailed creative briefs for content shoots; coordinate directly with the photo producer to align on deliverables, formats, and social-first needs
  • Create short-form video, static posts, Stories, and Reels in alignment with campaign moments and the UV brand voice
  • Approach every piece of content with an entertainer's mindset: would someone who doesn't know UV stop scrolling for this?
  • Write sharp, on-brand captions and social copy across all platforms
  • Comfortable on camera or directing talent on the fly when needed
  • Manage weekend overflow and weekend posting

AFFILIATE & CREATOR PROGRAM

  • Support the restructuring and management of UV's affiliate program — structure, tiers, commission logic, onboarding, and tracking
  • Support the rebuild of the creator community channel alongside it — outreach strategy, relationship management, and performance framework
  • Manage affiliate platform (LTK, ShopMy, AWIN) presence, DMs, and affiliate relationships once live; own optimization from day one
  • Develop tiered creator partnership programs — from micro-influencers to brand-aligned talent
  • Identify, source, and manage content creators across organic social — leading communications, developing creative briefs, and overseeing deliverables
  • Lead creator outreach, PR gifting, and send logistics
  • Negotiate and manage paid collaborations, gifting budgets and event activations
  • Track creator content performance and use it to inform both content strategy and partnership prioritization

COMMUNITY & ENGAGEMENT

  • Monitor and respond to social comments, DMs, and messages across platforms
  • Build and manage community engagement and community platform strategy that deepens brand loyalty, brand equity and drives UGC
  • Monitor audience sentiment and surface key community insights to internal stakeholders
  • Develop a scalable system for surfacing UGC into email, paid, and on-site channels
  • Update Foursixty weekly: link UGC to product pages and mirror IG on-site

OPERATIONS & REPORTING

  • Manage the operational infrastructure for social — workflows, trackers, approval processes, and reporting cadence
  • Own weekly and monthly analytics reporting: reach, engagement, affiliate revenue, gifting ROI — and translate data into actionable recommendations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

  • 4-5+ years of social media management in fashion, lifestyle, or ecommerce
  • Demonstrated experience building and growing social programs — not just inheriting and maintaining them
  • Must be a taste-maker with a pulse on cultural trends and brand taste
  • Must be able to concept, shoot, direct, post, analyze, and scale content — end to end, independently, without a production team holding it together.
  • Hands-on affiliate marketing experience (ShopMy, LTK, Creator.co, or similar) and creator management; ideally you've built or significantly restructured a program, not just managed a mature one
  • Experience with Foursixty, LTK, ShopMy, AWIN or similar content partnership tools
  • Deep platform algorithm fluency — you understand how Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest actually work, how they're evolving, and how to build a strategy that stays ahead of the shifts
  • You are genuinely, embarrassingly online — not as a passive consumer but as a student; you study what works, reverse-engineer why, and apply it
  • You have strong opinions about which brands are winning on social right now and exactly why; you can name them, break them down, and articulate what UV could learn from them
  • You understand that social media is entertainment first, marketing second — and you create accordingly
  • You take creative risks; you've pitched ideas that felt bold, pushed them through, and learned from the results either way
  • You don't wait for a brief to have an idea; you bring three ready and how to execute
  • Proven ability to write clear, actionable creative briefs for shoots, creators, and internal teams
  • Strong content eye and platform-native instincts — you know viscerally what performs on Instagram vs. TikTok vs. Pinterest, and why
  • Comfortable shooting and editing phone-first content independently — you've made great content with no budget and a device aka you are scrappy
  • Video editing skills beyond mobile (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
  • Comfortable on camera or directing talent on the fly
  • Data-literate: comfortable pulling, interpreting, and translating analytics into strategy
  • Excellent brand voice writing — you can write in someone else's voice, not just your own
  • Highly organized and a detail-oriented self starter with a proactive approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Later or a comparable scheduling tool
  • PR gifting program experience with ROI tracking
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles; available 3 days per week on-site

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working with licensed IP, including familiarity with brand/partner approval processes and asset review workflows.
  • Background in retro, vintage, pin-up, or niche subculture communities
  • Experience supporting a brand repositioning or rebrand execution on social
  • Familiarity with influencer contract basics and deal structuring
  • Experience with paid social coordination
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social analytics platforms

If you've ever described yourself as a "retro girlie," a content obsessive, or a community builder — you're probably our person.
