Social Media Marketing Manager

Nintendo of America partners closely with Nintendo Co., Ltd. to bring iconic franchises including Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Pikmin and Splatoon across the Americas.
The Social Media Manager will support Nintendo's merchandise marketing across owned social channels, with additional opportunities for involvement in hardware and software campaigns. Laddering into the Expanded Audience pillar, this role will strive to reach consumers beyond core gamers by showcasing Nintendo as a lifestyle brand, working closely with the Nintendo San Francisco and Nintendo New York teams and the Strategic Initiatives department.
Description of duties
- Engage with content creators to bring Nintendo products and initiatives to life while managing and executing tactics.
- Collaborate with the Communications team in celebrity marketing.
- Manage external partners and agencies involved in the earned and paid influencer program.
- Draft and edit strategic campaign plans and social copy.
- Manage collection and distribution of relevant game assets.
- Coordinate content shoots with internal partners and agencies, and direct content capture with the ability to produce content for quick turn publishing.
- Maintain tight communications with other marketing teams within Nintendo.
- As designated, may represent Nintendo as an official corporate spokesperson in an on-camera or in-person capacity.
Summary of requirements
- Minimum of six years related experience in communications, public relations, influencer marketing or social media.
- Knowledge of best practices within digital marketing and online video.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Experience managing direct reports required.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience creating still and video assets preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent preferred.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available. This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA and is not open to fully remote status at this time.
Pay range: $120,900 - $217,650 USD, plus potential semi-annual discretionary bonus and benefits.
