Social Media Manager
Social Media and Events Manager
Luxury cars · Content · Experiences · Full-time · London-based
We're hiring one person to be the face, the eye, and the energy of the brand.
This is the creative heart of a fast-moving luxury car company, and I’m only interested in the small number of people who can make the world fall for it.
Starr Luxury Cars connects the world’s most discerning clients to the finest chauffeurs and self-drive supercars on the planet, without owning a single vehicle. We operate across the UK, USA, Europe, and the UAE, and we are growing fast. The cars are extraordinary. The clients are extraordinary. What’s missing is someone to make sure everyone sees it, and feels it, the way it deserves.
That is the single biggest gap between the brand we are and the brand we should be. I want to hand our social presence to someone with better taste and better instincts than I have, so the rest of the team can focus on winning clients and building partnerships. That someone is who this ad is for.
What this job actually is
This is not a “post three times a week and send me the analytics” role. It’s simple to say and hard to do: own how Starr Luxury Cars looks, sounds, and shows up online, and make people want to be part of it.
You will inherit a brand with real product, real clients, and real stories to tell, but no content engine, no calendar, and no rhythm. Your job is to build all three. You will shoot, edit, write, post, and grow.
If that sounds like a lot, it is. It’s also the most fun you can have around supercars with a day job. You will have real ownership, real budget, and a founder who gets out of your way once you’ve earned the keys.
What you’ll own
- The channels. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and whatever comes next. Strategy, calendar, voice, and daily execution, with a tone that is luxury, sharp, and unmistakably ours.
- The content. Capture it, edit it, ship it. Photo, video, reels, behind-the-scenes, client moments, car reveals. You’ll be on the ground with the cars, and you’ll know a good frame the second you see one.
- The growth. Own the numbers. Reach, engagement, followers, enquiries driven by content. Set the targets, hit them, and show me what’s working.
- The community. Build and grow our presence in the online car world, with collectors, owners, clubs, creators, and photographers. Comments, DMs, collabs, and conversations that make people feel part of the brand.
- The collaborations. Work with the team on creator partnerships, influencer content, and brand collabs that raise our profile and pay for themselves.
- The standard. Every image, caption, comment, and reply carries the brand. Nothing goes out that you wouldn’t put your name on.
What great looks like in 6 months
- Starr Luxury Cars has a recognisable look and voice across every channel, and people can tell it’s us before they see the name.
- A content calendar runs weeks ahead.
- Our audience is measurably bigger, more engaged, and driving real enquiries, with numbers to prove it.
- We’ve delivered content and creator collaborations that people are still sharing.
- The online car community knows your name, and ours.
Who you are
- You live and breathe cars. Supercars, hypercars, classics, the lot. You know your Huracán from your 12C and your GT3 from your GT2, and you light up when you talk about them. A strong knowledge of cars is a must.
- You have a network in the car world. Owners, clubs, creators, photographers, dealers. If you already know the people we want in our feed, you’ll go far fast. It’s a serious advantage, though not a dealbreaker for someone exceptional.
- You have an eye. You can shoot and edit content that stops the scroll, and you obsess over framing, light, colour, and pace. Send us your work. It speaks louder than your CV.
- You’ve built an audience. You’ve grown a brand, a page, or a community and can show what you did and how.
- You know the platforms. You understand how each algorithm rewards content, you spot trends early, and you know when to jump on one and when to ignore it.
- You get the luxury standard. You understand high-net-worth clients, discretion, and that at this level “good enough” is a failure.
- You have extreme ownership. Problems stop with you. You don’t escalate them, you solve them and tell me it’s handled.
- You move fast and sweat the detail. In a company this size, the Social Media Manager still does, not just directs. You’re in the detail and above it at the same time.
Who you’re not
I’d rather be blunt now than waste your time and mine:
- You want to schedule posts from a template and call it strategy.
- You’re passionate about social media but couldn’t tell a Ferrari from a Lamborghini.
- You’ve never shot or edited anything yourself and rely on someone else to make it look good.
- You want a predictable 9-to-5 where nothing surprises you. Shoots start early and the best content doesn’t wait. That’s the job.
- You think luxury is a logo and a gold filter, not relentless, invisible attention to detail.
The deal
- Base: competitive, depending on experience and the breadth you can carry. We pay for outcomes, not attendance.
- Upside: performance bonus tied to the numbers you own, with room to grow into a wider brand and marketing leadership role as the company scales.
- Location: London, full-time, based at our Berkeley Square, Mayfair office. Regular time on location with cars and shoots, and occasional travel to our hubs.
- The real perk: you will build something. A growing luxury brand, access to some of the best cars on the planet, a founder who backs you, and the mandate to do it your way once you’ve earned it.
How to apply, and how to stand out
Do not send me a generic CV and a template cover letter. It goes in the bin. If you want this, show me you’re the person I described above.
Send an email to cars@starrluxurycars.com with the subject line “I’ll make them look twice”, and answer three things, short and specific, along with your CV and a link to your best work:
- The account or brand you personally built or grew, and the number that proves it worked.
- The car you’d put on our feed first, and the shot you’d take of it.
- One thing about how we show up on social today that you’d change in your first week.
That’s the filter. If you can’t answer those in a way that makes me lean forward, this isn’t your role. If you can, you might be exactly who I’ve been waiting for. I read every one of these myself.
