Job DescriptionAbout the job
\nPurity Products is a 33-year-old, family-founded DTC supplement company based in Plainview, NY, where the stability and resources of an established brand meet the creativity, agility, and entrepreneurial spirit of a startup.
\n
\nHere, great ideas don't get lost in layers of approval. You'll have the freedom to think boldly, move quickly, and make a real impact, backed by an experienced leadership team, established resources, and a company that believes in trying new things.
\n
\nYou won't just promote our brands. You'll help shape their stories, spark conversations, build communities, and influence how consumers discover and connect with our products.
\n
\nWe're looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to own how our two brands, Purity Products and Cheerific, show up on social every day - from brand voice and content creation to platform strategy, community engagement, and organic growth.
\n
\nYou post it. You see what it does.
\nSome social roles have you scheduling posts someone else made and waiting on an agency for the rest. This one doesn't. At Purity Products, you'll write the captions, make the content, test new platforms and formats, and watch what it does for the business across two growing supplement brands.
\n
\nWe've been making supplements for 33 years. Our in-house growth team is small and moves fast, so your ideas don't sit in a backlog. If you spot a trend on Tuesday, you could have content live by Wednesday.
\n
\n\n Location: Plainview, NY. Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)\n Employment Type: Full-Time\n Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience\n Benefits: Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k)\n\n
\nWhat you'll own
\n
\nBrand voice
\n\n Define and keep a distinct voice for each brand. Purity and Cheerific talk to different people and should sound like it.\n Write a voice guide for each brand that the rest of the team can actually use\n Make sure every post, caption, comment and reply sounds like us\n\n
\nOur channels
\n\n Own organic social strategy for both brands: platform priorities, content pillars, cadence and growth targets\n Run day-to-day publishing, copy and community across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest\n Build the content calendar across always-on content, product launches and seasonal moments\n Manage comments, DMs and community, and turn what customers say into content ideas\n\n
\nWhat's next
\n\n Find, test and grow us on emerging platforms before they're crowded. Think Threads, Reddit, Lemon8, Substack, broadcast channels and whatever comes next.\n Test new content types: lo-fi and selfie-style video, series, memes, carousels, livestreams, AI-made content and formats that don't have a name yet\n Keep a pulse on trends, sounds, memes and platform changes, and move fast on the ones worth chasing\n Know when to jump on a trend and when to skip it, and be able to explain why\n Bring us a point of view on what's working for brands inside and outside supplements\n\n
\nBuilding with AI
\n\n Use AI tools every day to research, write, edit, make visuals and video, and report faster\n Build repeatable AI workflows so a small team can put out more and better content\n Stay current on new AI tools for social and tell us which ones are worth using\n\n
\nContent
\n\n Shoot and edit social-native content yourself (CapCut or similar)\n Brief our creative team and outside partners so the work comes back right the first time\n Work with our creator and paid media teams to share what's working and feed the best organic content into ads\n Make content that respects the rules for what can be said about a supplement\n\n
\nReporting
\n\n Own reporting on channel performance and turn it into content decisions\n Run a weekly pulse, a monthly report and a post-mortem for every launch\n Tie social to the numbers that matter to the business: reach, engagement, traffic, new customers and subscriptions, not just likes\n\n
\nYou'll do well here if you have
\n\n 4 to 6 years in organic social or brand marketing, including 2+ years owning a brand's channels\n A writer first, with sharp instincts for voice and the ability to be funny on purpose\n Deep, native understanding of TikTok and Instagram: algorithms, formats and what makes people stop scrolling\n A track record of testing new platforms and formats early\n Daily, hands-on use of AI tools for content and workflow\n Comfort shooting and editing mobile-native video\n A strong analytical mindset and fluency in social tools and native analytics\n Good judgment on what can and can't be said about a supplement, and comfort working within FTC and claims rules\n The ability to run two brands' channels at once while priorities shift\n\n
\nBonus points
\n\n You've grown an account on a platform early, before it was obvious. Show us.\n You've built AI workflows for content or social. Show us those too.\n A supplement, wellness, beauty or CPG background\n Experience growing a community from scratch\n\n
\nPlease include a portfolio of social content and channels you personally ran.
\n
\nWhat we offer
\n\n Performance bonus opportunity\n Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)\n Real ownership of social across two brands\n Room to test new platforms and formats without asking permission for every idea\n A collaborative, supportive team environment\n\n
