Social Media Manager

Location: London, Brighton | Hybrid Working

I’m working with a leading B2B media and events business specialising in the food, drink and hospitality sectors, who are looking for a creative and commercially minded Social Media Manager to join their marketing team.

You’ll lead social media activity across a portfolio of event brands, combining creative content production with data-led campaign management to deliver measurable commercial results across organic and paid channels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering social media strategies aligned with brand, audience and commercial objectives.
  • Leading the creation of engaging content series, managing projects from concept through to filming, editing and delivery.
  • Owning content planning and publishing across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Managing content calendars across campaigns, partner activity, community engagement and live events.
  • Planning and optimising paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, budget management, creative testing and A/B testing.
  • Analysing campaign performance and audience insights to improve engagement, reach, ROI and conversion.
  • Working collaboratively with marketing, commercial teams, exhibitors, sponsors and external partners to maximise campaign impact.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, helping to develop social media capabilities and maintain high standards of content delivery.
  • Attending events across the UK to capture content and represent the brands, with occasional travel required.

About You

  • Proven experience in social media management, ideally within events, hospitality, food and drink, media, publishing or a consumer-facing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of both organic and paid social, particularly Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Experience developing social media strategies and content calendars that drive audience growth, engagement and commercial performance.
  • Confident using analytics and performance data to inform decisions and optimise campaigns.
  • Strong creative content production skills, with experience taking ideas from concept through to execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach, with a genuine interest in emerging social media trends and platform developments.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to events across the UK.
