Senior Manager, Social Media Campaigns & Content (National Geographic)

National Geographic is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Social Media to lead creative social campaigns across editorial content and TV programming. You will plan, manage and execute the social marketing strategy for editorial digital stories, magazine features and TV programming, with an audience-first approach that ladders up to growing magazine and digital subscriptions, driving acquisition to Disney+, and enhancing brand affinity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as social lead and strategic partner to Nat Geo Editorial and Content teams; lead tentpole social moments
• Oversee the end-to-end creative pipeline, including hands-on direction of social-first shoots and interviews
• Guide creative ideation, campaign development and execution for creator initiatives; develop creator-first content experiences
• Drive testing and learning across platforms, formats and tools
• Use social platform and Adobe Analytics data to optimize strategy and set success metrics beyond engagement
• Lead, develop and scale a high-performing team

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in social media strategy and marketing, preferably across large brand or media portfolios
• Experience launching creator-led franchises, original programming or large-scale digital content initiatives
• Deep understanding of the creator economy and creator monetization models
• Experience managing external partners or agencies and large budgets

The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $112,700 to $154,800 per year. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided in addition to benefits.
