About Connect Management
Connect Management is a social-first talent and influencer management agency representing some of the UK’s most exciting creators and working with leading brands across social media, entertainment and digital culture.
We’re a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business operating at the heart of the creator economy. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Contract Manager to take ownership of our contracts function and help protect Connect, our talent and the partnerships we build.
This isn’t a traditional corporate contracts role. We’re looking for someone who understands the pace and complexity of social media, influencer marketing and talent management — and who can turn contractual complexity into practical, commercial solutions.
The Role
As Senior Contract Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day contracts function at Connect, working closely with our Talent Management, Agency and Senior Leadership teams.
You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements across the business, identifying commercial and regulatory risk, and ensuring our contracts protect both Connect and the talent we represent.
You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where deals move quickly, priorities change and guidance needs to be clear, pragmatic and commercially focused.
What You’ll Be Doing
Commercial Contracts & Negotiations
- Draft, review and negotiate influencer, talent, creator and brand partnership agreements.
- Review and negotiate agency, client and campaign agreements.
- Advise on sponsorships, ambassador agreements, licensing arrangements and other commercial partnerships.
- Negotiate key contractual provisions including fees, payment terms, exclusivity, termination, liability and indemnities.
- Support the team with complex and high-value commercial negotiations.
Talent & Creator Agreements
- Draft, review and maintain Connect’s talent management agreements.
- Support Talent Managers on contractual issues relating to creators and brand partnerships.
- Support talent onboarding, renewals and exits from a contractual perspective.
- Help manage and escalate contractual issues between talent, brands and the agency, working with external counsel where appropriate.
Intellectual Property & Content Rights
- Manage and negotiate contractual provisions relating to intellectual property, copyright and licensing.
- Review and negotiate content usage rights, including organic usage, paid media, boosting/whitelisting and extended usage.
- Advise on image rights, content ownership and creator IP within agreements.
- Ensure the commercial value of creators’ content and rights is appropriately protected through contracts.
Advertising, Influencer & Social Media Compliance
- Act as Connect’s internal point of contact on the regulatory landscape affecting influencer marketing and social media, escalating significant matters to the Senior Leadership Team where appropriate.
- Support the business on ASA/CAP requirements, advertising disclosures and influencer marketing compliance, including advertising claims, competitions and giveaways.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting influencer marketing and the creator economy and proactively flag changes that could impact Connect’s contracts, processes or commercial activity.
Risk & Contract Strategy
- Identify contractual and commercial risks while helping the business find practical ways to move deals forward.
- Escalate significant legal risks appropriately without creating unnecessary barriers to commercial activity.
- Coordinate contractual disputes and potential claims, working with external counsel where appropriate.
- Maintain and continuously improve Connect’s contract templates, processes and internal guidance.
- Build scalable contract processes to support the continued growth of the business.
Training & Business Partnership
- Be an approachable contracts partner to Talent Managers, Account Managers and the wider team.
- Provide clear, practical guidance rather than simply identifying problems.
- Deliver training on contracts, usage rights, advertising compliance and relevant contractual processes.
- Help strengthen the wider team’s commercial understanding of contracts and risk.
- Support and contribute to the development of our junior Contract Manager and wider team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong contract expertise with a genuinely commercial mindset.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Approximately 3-6+ years of relevant experience, although we’re more interested in the right experience than a specific number of years.
- Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience, ideally including talent, influencer, sponsorship, advertising and brand partnership agreements.
- Experience within influencer marketing, talent management, social media, digital marketing, advertising, media, entertainment or the creator economy.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property, content licensing and usage rights.
- A good working knowledge of UK advertising and influencer marketing requirements, with the ability to identify and flag potential compliance issues.
- Experience managing contractual disputes and coordinating dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation and, where necessary, instructing external counsel.
- Experience with contract management tools or building scalable contract processes and systems is an advantage.
- An understanding of US influencer marketing rules, including FTC endorsement requirements, is an advantage given our work with international brands and talent.
- Awareness of the FCA financial promotions regime is a plus, particularly where talent promotes financial products.
- A legal, contract management or related qualification is desirable. Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales, or an equivalent recognised jurisdiction, is welcome but not essential.
- A genuine interest in and understanding of influencer marketing and the creator economy.
- The confidence to negotiate directly with brands, agencies, lawyers and other commercial partners.
- Excellent judgement and the ability to balance contractual risk with commercial opportunity.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership and manage competing priorities.
- Discretion when handling confidential and commercially sensitive talent and business information.
You’ll Thrive at Connect If You...
- Are commercial first - you understand that good contractual guidance should help the business move forward.
- Can make complicated contractual and legal issues simple and actionable.
- Enjoy working at pace and don’t need layers of process around you.
- Understand social media and the creator economy.
- Are confident in challenging something when necessary, but understand when a risk is commercially acceptable.
- Build relationships easily and enjoy working alongside non-legal teams.
- Are proactive and take initiative without waiting to be asked.
- Want to build and own a contract function rather than simply inherit one.
- Are forward-thinking and excited about helping shape the future of the influencer marketing industry.
Why Connect?
The creator economy doesn’t stand still - and neither do we.
You’ll be joining Connect at an exciting stage of growth, with the opportunity to take real ownership of our contracts function. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and teams across the business, supporting everything from creator representation and major brand partnerships to new commercial opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the business - not a contract function sitting on the outside of it.
If you’re commercially minded, passionate about the creator economy and excited by the opportunity to build and shape a contract function within a growing business, we’d love to hear from you.
