MAJOR FUNCTION

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding POPS' client portfolio (Brands & Agencies) by delivering innovative commercial solutions powered by the POPS Studio Ecosystem—including top Japanese Anime/Manga IP licensing (Doraemon, Pokémon, Detective Conan, etc.), Moving Toons/Webtoon adaptations, Branded Content, 5-second brand integrations, Sponsorships, and AI/Tech Innovations


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Proactively identify, pitch, and build long-term relationships with brands (advertisers) and advertising agencies across FMCG, Tech, Entertainment, Kids & Family, and Youth Lifestyle sectors.

POPS Studio Ecosystem Solution Selling:

  • Pitch and close Sponsorship & Branded Content deals leveraging major Japanese IP slates on POPS Anime (7.8M+ subs) and POPS Kids (20.1M+ subs).
  • Sell Brand Integration solutions (clean, non-intrusive 5-second brand placements), Affiliate & Merchandise Bundles, and Short-Form Funnel packages (YouTube Shorts/TikTok).
  • Monetize POPS Studio's exclusive production capabilities: Original Content Production, Moving Toons, Webtoon Adaptations, and AI Innovations.

Internal Collaboration: Partner with Creative, Content, Studio Production, Data, and Strategy teams to build tailored, high-impact pitch proposals that solve client marketing KPIs.

Pipeline & Revenue Management: Monitor sales pipelines weekly, provide accurate forecasting, and consistently achieve revenue targets assigned by the Head of POPS Studio Operations.

Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, proposal costing, expense tracking, billing accuracy, and debt collection for assigned accounts.

Leadership:

  • Support the professional development of junior sales/account team members through guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Others: Execute other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in Sales/Business Development within Digital Agencies, Media Houses, Production Studios, or Entertainment companies.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, communications, or related fields.

Client Network: Established network with brand decision-makers (FMCG, Tech, Consumer Electronics, Kids/Family, Youth Lifestyle) and major advertising agencies.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Branded Content, Digital Media KPIs (Paid/Owned/Earned), and IP commercialization.
  • Passion for or strong familiarity with ACG culture (Anime, Comic, Games), Webtoon trends, and Gen Z/Kids entertainment market is a major plus.

Skills:

  • Exceptional pitching and presentation skills (advanced PowerPoint proficiency).
  • Strong negotiation, strategic deal-closing, and consultative B2B selling skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work under high revenue pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools for workflow automation or data handling
