Outreach Intern Internship
OUTREACH INTERN
About Genni
Genni is a creative marketing agency built around one thing: making people care.
We work at the intersection of music, creators, culture, and social media, helping artists and brands turn attention into actual fandom. Our team works with major artists and brands across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and whatever platform is inevitably about to become the next big thing.
We've run campaigns with brands and partners like Disney, Medi-Dyne, Coachella, Lollapalooza, the CMA Awards, and New York Football Club, as well as artists including Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Moroney, Dolly Parton, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Janet Jackson, Yung Miami, and Tori Kelly.
Basically: If it’s happening on the internet, we probably have opinions about it.
What You’ll Do
As an Outreach Intern, you’ll receive hands-on training and supervised experience with the creator side of influencer marketing. You’ll work closely with our outreach and campaign teams to learn how creators are identified, evaluated, contacted, and managed to build relationships and bring campaigns to life.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Learn creator discovery: Develop research and evaluation skills by identifying TikTokers, Instagram creators, fan pages, niche accounts, and emerging talent while learning how creator fit is evaluated for different campaigns.
- Learn creator outreach: Gain supervised experience communicating with creators, sharing campaign information, practicing professional follow-up, and learning how creator relationships are developed and maintained.
- Learn campaign organization: Gain experience using creator lists, trackers, spreadsheets, and campaign-management processes while learning how outreach information is organized and maintained.
- Stay tapped in: Keep up with trending sounds, formats, memes, creators, and the cultural moments everyone is talking about.
- Bring ideas: Help brainstorm creative concepts and ways brands/artists can show up authentically on social.
- Know your platforms: Understand what works on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social platforms.
- Learn by doing: Participate in real campaigns under the guidance of experienced team members while receiving instruction and feedback on creator discovery, outreach strategy, campaign coordination, and influencer marketing best practices.
Who You Are
You don't need to know everything about influencer marketing yet. We're looking for someone who is curious, plugged-in, organized, and genuinely interested in how social media works.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Know the difference between a creator who is actually influential and someone who just has a lot of followers.
- Spend way too much time on social media and can explain why something is going viral.
- Have an eye for creators, trends, sounds, and content that feels authentic.
- Are comfortable communicating professionally over email and Slack.
- Can keep a spreadsheet organized without wanting to throw your laptop out the window.
- Have experience with Google Sheets or Excel.
- Are comfortable navigating TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other short-form platforms.
- Have an interest in music, creators, pop culture, marketing, or social media.
- Are able to work independently but aren’t afraid to ask questions.
- Are detail-oriented and can keep track of multiple moving pieces.
- Have some familiarity with social media editing tools and features like captions, text overlays, and in-app editing.
- Have experience with video editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools (a plus, but not required). What </st
rong>You’ll Get
This isn’t an internship where you’re just making coffee and sitting in on meetings.
You’ll get real-world experience in influencer marketing, exposure to active campaigns, and the opportunity to learn how creator strategy, outreach, and social media marketing work behind the scenes.
You’ll receive ongoing guidance, training, and feedback from experienced team members throughout the internship, with opportunities to develop your skills in creator research, professional outreach, campaign organization, and social media marketing.
You'll work alongside a team that lives on social and see how an idea becomes a real campaign — from the first brainstorm to the creators we book, the content that goes live, and the results we report back to the client.

The Ideal Candidate
You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to be curious.

we want to meet you.
