About Bask & Lather Co.

Bask & Lather Co. is a fast-growing, family-founded haircare brand dedicated to restoring

crowns and confidence. What began as a kitchen remedy has grown into one of the most

recognized textured-hair brands in the United States, known for transformative products,

authentic storytelling, and a deeply engaged community.

As Bask & Lather enters its next phase of growth, creators and affiliates will play an increasingly

important role in how we build awareness, deepen cultural relevance, acquire customers, and

drive profitable revenue.

The Opportunity

Bask & Lather is seeking an experienced Influencer & Affiliate Marketing Manager to build,

manage, and scale our influencer, creator, ambassador, and affiliate programs.

This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who understands both culture and

performance. You will be responsible for identifying the right partners, developing culturally

relevant campaigns, building lasting creator relationships, growing our affiliate roster, and

ensuring that every program delivers measurable value.

You will own the full program lifecycle, including strategy, sourcing, outreach, negotiation,

contracting, campaign development, activation, performance management, reporting, and

optimization.

We are looking for someone who has already built or significantly grown influencer and affiliate

programs for a fast-growing consumer brand. The successful candidate will be able to

demonstrate specific results, including revenue growth, return on creator investment, customer

acquisition, partner activation, content output, and roster growth.

This is not a role for someone learning how influencer and affiliate marketing works. The right

person will learn the Bask & Lather brand and then immediately bring the relationships, cultural

fluency, commercial judgment, and operating discipline required to strengthen and scale the

function.

Key Responsibilities

Influencer and Creator Strategy

  • Develop and own Bask & Lather’s influencer and creator strategy across paid, gifted,

ambassador, affiliate, micro, mid-tier, macro, and celebrity partnerships.

  • Build a balanced creator portfolio that supports brand awareness, cultural relevance,

content development, product education, customer acquisition, and revenue.

  • Identify emerging creators and cultural voices before they become oversaturated or

cost-prohibitive.

  • Establish clear partner tiers, selection criteria, campaign objectives, compensation

guidelines, and performance benchmarks.

  • Develop long-term creator relationships that extend beyond one-time, transactional

campaigns.

  • Ensure the creator roster reflects Bask & Lather’s customers, values, positioning, and

textured-hair community.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of beauty culture, textured-hair conversations, platform

behavior, creator trends, and emerging talent.

Creator Recruitment and Relationship Management

  • Own creator sourcing, vetting, outreach, relationship development, and ongoing

communication.

  • Proactively recruit high-potential creators, customers, industry experts, stylists, and

culturally relevant partners.

  • Evaluate creators based on audience alignment, engagement quality, content quality,

brand fit, historical performance, authenticity, and commercial potential.

  • Build and maintain an organized, high-quality creator roster across platforms, content

categories, audience segments, and performance tiers.

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for influencer and creator partners.
  • Create an excellent partner experience that strengthens relationships and encourages

long-term advocacy.

  • Identify, retain, reactivate, or exit partners based on performance and strategic value.

Influencer Campaign Development and Execution

  • Lead influencer campaigns from initial concept through activation, optimization, and

post-campaign analysis.

  • Translate product launches, retail moments, promotions, brand initiatives, and cultural

opportunities into compelling creator campaigns.

  • Develop clear briefs that communicate campaign objectives, audience insights, key

messages, creative direction, required deliverables, and brand guardrails.

  • Partner with the social and content teams to ensure campaigns feel platform-native,

culturally relevant, and consistent with Bask & Lather’s brand voice.

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, approvals, posting schedules, usage rights, exclusivity,

and campaign obligations.

  • Review creator content for quality, accuracy, brand alignment, and compliance before

publication when required.

  • Monitor campaign performance in real time and make adjustments to improve results.
  • Conduct post-campaign reviews that identify wins, challenges, insights, and

opportunities for future campaigns.

Affiliate Program Ownership

  • Own the strategy, growth, and performance of Bask & Lather’s affiliate programs.
  • Recruit and activate creators, customers, publishers, community partners, and niche

affiliates who can drive qualified traffic and incremental revenue.

  • Develop commission structures, incentives, challenges, and promotional strategies that

improve partner activation and performance.

  • Segment partners by type, audience, performance, and growth potential.
  • Monitor affiliate revenue, conversion rates, average order value, new-customer

acquisition, commission costs, and program profitability.

  • Identify and address code leakage, affiliate fraud, coupon-site activity, attribution issues,

and other risks that could distort performance.

  • Create strategies to activate new partners, increase productivity among existing

partners, and reactivate high-potential inactive partners.

  • Remove or deprioritize partners who do not meet performance, quality, or brand

standards.

  • Manage affiliate platforms, links, codes, commissions, reporting, and payout

coordination.

TikTok Shop Creator and Affiliate Growth

  • Build and scale TikTok Shop creator and affiliate recruitment.
  • Identify creators with the content quality, audience trust, product relevance, and selling

ability required to drive TikTok Shop performance.

  • Develop creator offers, product seeding strategies, incentives, briefs, and commission

structures.

  • Track creator activation, content output, product performance, attributed sales,

conversion, and return on investment.

  • Partner with growth, e-commerce, and social teams to identify winning products,

messages, hooks, and content formats.

  • Develop strategies to increase the number of productive TikTok Shop affiliates, not

simply the total size of the roster.

  • Use performance insights to strengthen recruitment, retention, and campaign design.

Negotiation, Contracts, and Compliance

  • Lead creator negotiations involving rates, deliverables, timelines, exclusivity, usage

rights, whitelisting, renewals, and content ownership.

  • Balance relationship quality, creative value, reach, and expected commercial return

when evaluating partner costs.

  • Partner with legal and leadership on contracts, approvals, and risk management.
  • Maintain accurate records of agreements, deliverables, usage terms, expiration dates,

payments, and partner obligations.

  • Ensure campaigns comply with FTC disclosure requirements, platform policies, brand

guidelines, and applicable advertising standards.

  • Proactively identify brand-safety concerns and recommend appropriate action.

Budget and Performance Management

  • Manage influencer and affiliate budgets with clear allocation, tracking, forecasting, and

accountability.

  • Evaluate partner and campaign performance against brand and commercial objectives.
  • Track metrics including attributed revenue, return on creator spend, cost per acquisition,

cost per piece of content, conversion rate, engagement quality, new-customer

acquisition, and affiliate profitability.

  • Establish clear performance benchmarks by campaign type, platform, creator tier, and

partner segment.

  • Build dashboards and recurring reports that give leadership a clear view of program

health, performance, opportunities, and risks.

  • Translate data into specific recommendations regarding investment, recruitment,

retention, compensation, creative strategy, and program optimization.

  • Confidently present program performance and strategic recommendations to brand,

growth, and senior leadership.

Content Amplification and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Senior Social Media & Content Marketing Manager to amplify

high-performing creator content across Bask & Lather’s owned social channels.

  • Identify creator content with potential for paid media, retail, e-commerce, email, SMS,

product pages, and other marketing applications.

  • Coordinate with paid media teams on usage rights, creator permissions, whitelisting, and

amplification opportunities.

  • Collaborate with brand, growth, e-commerce, social, PR, retail, operations, and legal

teams to execute integrated campaigns.

  • Ensure influencer and affiliate strategies support broader company priorities, product

launches, promotions, retail expansion, and revenue goals.

Product Seeding and Operational Coordination

  • Develop a strategic product-seeding and gifting program tied to clear objectives and

priority audiences.

  • Coordinate product shipments, PR packages, content kits, and sample requests with the

operations team.

  • Maintain visibility into sample inventory, shipping status, campaign deadlines, and

partner receipt.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of gifting and seeding based on activation, content output,

relationship value, and commercial performance.

  • Improve operational processes so administrative tasks are completed accurately without

distracting from strategic program ownership.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in influencer, creator, affiliate, partnership, or

performance marketing.

  • At least 2 years directly owning influencer or affiliate programs, budgets, campaigns, and

measurable results.

  • Experience working for a fast-growing consumer, beauty, haircare, wellness, lifestyle,

retail, or DTC brand.

  • Demonstrated success building and scaling creator, influencer, ambassador, or affiliate

programs.

  • Proven ability to grow attributed revenue, improve return on investment, acquire new

customers, expand productive partner rosters, or increase content output.

  • Strong understanding of TikTok, TikTok Shop, Instagram, YouTube, affiliate marketing,

social commerce, and emerging creator platforms.

  • Experience sourcing, vetting, recruiting, negotiating with, and managing creators across

multiple tiers.

  • Experience creating campaign briefs, managing deliverables, securing content rights,

and overseeing campaign execution.

  • Strong analytical ability and experience turning performance data into clear business

recommendations.

  • Experience managing budgets, commission structures, creator rates, contracts,

timelines, and reporting.

  • Excellent written, verbal, relationship-management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational ability, attention to detail, judgment, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with changing

priorities and high standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in textured hair, multicultural beauty, or a culturally driven consumer

category.

  • Established relationships across beauty, lifestyle, haircare, and culturally relevant creator

communities.

  • Experience building and scaling TikTok Shop affiliate programs.
  • Experience with affiliate and creator platforms such as TikTok Shop, impact.com, Aspire,

GRIN, CreatorIQ, LTK, ShareASale, or similar tools.

  • Experience working closely with founders, senior executives, or growth leadership.

marketing channels.
