Entertainer in Residence

Entertainer in Residence is Small World's creator residency programme. Each year, the agency invites four creators in, not as suppliers but as collaborators, and embeds them directly into how the work is made, captured and shared.

For three months at a time, an Entertainer in Residence becomes part of the Small World machine. They are given behind-the-scenes access to real client work, a seat in the room during ideation, and the freedom to capture and create in their own voice. Full trust in them as an auteur. The role is simple:

• Capture behind-the-scenes content on live shoots and productions
• Ideate on Small World client briefs
• Proactively pitch and make original ideas for Small World's channels

Each residency runs for three months, five days a week. Across the year, Small World hosts multiple residents, meaning the agency's look, tone and creative point of view naturally evolve as new voices enter the system.

Residents are paid £31,000 gross per annum, pro-rated for the duration of the placement (£7,750). The Small World team supports residents throughout. In return, they get something most creators never do: real access to major brands, real creative influence, and a chance to build work that goes far beyond a single post.

Small World is looking for creators who:

• Have a strong, distinctive point of view and make content people actually watch
• Are comfortable shooting lo-fi, behind-the-scenes and in-the-moment content (film, digital, phone)
• Understand how ideas travel on social, not just how to make things look nice
• Can work collaboratively and respectfully on live sets and with client teams
• Are curious about how brands, agencies and creators really work together

Follower count matters less than taste, judgement and the ability to actually make.
