THE OPPORTUNITY
Catamaran is looking for a Director, Creator Partnerships, who will help lead client workstreams and programs while partnering with senior Influencer and PR leadership on broader strategy and agency initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of PR agency experience in playing a key role in bringing influencer and creator strategies to life, overseeing programs from planning through execution and measurement, and helping ensure consistently strong work across clients. They will serve as a trusted partner to account teams and clients, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the continued growth and evolution of Catamaran’s influencer and creator capabilities. Additionally, the candidate must have experience supporting work for accounts where media relations (strategy AND day-to-day execution) is central to their remit.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Independently lead assigned influencer and creator workstreams, developing strategies and recommendations aligned with client objectives.
- Translate client briefs, audience insights, cultural trends, and platform behaviors into thoughtful creator strategies and program approaches.
- Partner with senior Influencer and PR leadership on the development of integrated influencer and creator programs.
- Help apply and evolve agency frameworks, processes, playbooks, and best practices across client work.
- Bring forward emerging creator trends, platforms, partnership models, and opportunities that can strengthen client programs.
- Collaborate with PR, social, paid media, creative, and other teams to ensure influencer is effectively integrated into broader communications programs.
- Serve as a day-to-day lead for assigned influencer and creator programs, building strong relationships with clients and internal account teams.
- Oversee programs from planning and creator identification through outreach, negotiation, content development, activation, and reporting.
- Use program performance and insights to identify opportunities for optimization and inform future recommendations.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for PR account teams, helping them navigate influencer and creator opportunities and program needs.
- In addition to above responsibilities, support and/or lead media relations efforts and proactively pitch reporters, editors, producers, podcast hosts and influencers.
- Willing and able to fuel and implement fresh thinking, push boundaries, and experiment - always looking for the “wow” factor for clients.
- Contribute to the agency's new business proposals; participate in new business pitch development and presentations.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 6-8 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator strategy, social media, or integrated communications, with meaningful hands-on influencer experience.
- Expertise in consumer and corporate media relations.
- Agency experience preferred, with experience managing multiple clients, programs, and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead influencer and creator workstreams while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of the influencer and creator program lifecycle, including strategy, creator identification and vetting, outreach, negotiation, contracting, content development, activation, and measurement.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate client objectives, audience insights, and cultural trends into actionable recommendations.
- Experience leading client conversations and presenting strategies, recommendations, and results.
- Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to oversee complex workstreams, timelines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of influencer measurement, reporting, and how to translate program performance into meaningful insights.
- Self-starter, solution-oriented team player, with stellar communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Willing to both set strategy and implement, as needed; displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work both independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
- Comfortable using AI-driven tools and platforms to support research, trend analysis, influencer targeting, content development, reporting and optimization; curiosity to continuously test and adopt new technologies.
- Experience supporting new business pitches and developing influencer or creator recommendations.
- Collaborative spirit, with a strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and the ability to manage internal and external (client) expectations.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary: $110-$130k, commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus.
