Community Manager
About Strix
We believe that software is the foundation of modern civilization, yet vulnerabilities threaten its integrity, security, and resilience. Strix is on a mission to solve security.
Strix builds autonomous AI penetration testing agents that think like attackers: discovering, validating, and helping fix real vulnerabilities across live applications, codebases, and infrastructure, continuously, not once a year. We are looking for strong technical people who want to work at the intersection of AI, security, and infrastructure.
About this role
We're seeking a Community Manager to build and grow the Strix community, the hackers, security engineers, and developers who use our open-source agent and share what it finds. You'll own our Discord, developer forums, and community programs, and be the human face of Strix online.
You're excited about this role because you will…
Own and grow the Strix Discord: moderation, programming, events, and making it the best place to talk AI x offensive security
Engage the community across Discord, GitHub, X/Twitter, Reddit, and security forums, answer questions, surface feedback, celebrate wins
Run community programs: CTFs, bug hunts, ambassador and contributor programs, launches, and meetups
Turn community insight into product feedback and content, you're the loop between users and the team
Work with the founders to shape Strix's voice and open-source presence
Qualifications
2+ years managing developer or security communities (Discord/Slack/forums) for a startup, open-source project, or dev tool
Native to internet culture: you know how hacker and developer communities actually work
Excellent writing with technical credibility, security background or genuine curiosity about offensive security
Experience organizing online events, CTFs, or open-source community programs is a plus
A tendency to leave things in a better way than you found them
What we offer
Competitive salary with meaningful equity
Health, vision, and dental insurance
Office lunch and dinner (when working from our New York office)
