Community Manager

Introduction

Socially Powerful is a global social media marketing agency offering bespoke, end-to-end services to our clients. Our rapidly growing team of creatives, strategists, designers, editors, and account managers work together to create impactful content for our list of global brands, covering FMCG, fashion, beauty, and tech. Our agency is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Accounts team and work to deliver exceptional campaigns with our current and forthcoming clients.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Community Manager to join Socially Powerful and work with one of our clients, a fast-growing, challenger beauty brand that is disrupting the market through bold, innovative, and culturally-led campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and nurturing the brand’s online community, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s tone of voice and drives meaningful engagement.

You’ll be managing day-to-day community interactions across TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms, contributing to content ideation, high-profile campaigns, and social strategy. The role also includes traveling across the UK to support pop-ups, brand activations, and content shoots, helping to bring the community to life both online and offline.

This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, fast, culturally connected, and passionate about social trends, particularly Gen Z audiences.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • 2–4 years’ experience in community management or social media, ideally within beauty, fashion, or lifestyle - open to both agency or brand side
  • Strong understanding of Gen Z audiences, social trends, and platform behaviours
  • Proven experience in growing and engaging online communities
  • Deep passion for social media, with a strong awareness of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in tone of voice and written communication
  • Confident, proactive, and culturally aware
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
  • Experience supporting content creation (UGC, short-form video) is a plus
  • Willingness to travel across the UK for shoots and activations

Key Responsibilities

Community Management & Engagement

  • Lead day-to-day community management across social platforms (primarily TikTok & Instagram)
  • Respond to comments and DMs, ensuring all communication is on-brand, timely, and culturally relevant
  • Proactively engage with audiences, creators, and communities to drive conversation and brand affinity
  • Monitor sentiment, flag risks, and manage escalations where needed

Growth & Audience Development

  • Support the growth of social channels through reactive engagement, trend participation, and community-first thinking
  • Identify opportunities to build stronger connections with Gen Z audiences
  • Engage with creators and brand advocates to amplify reach and engagement

Content & Social Support

  • Support in reviewing, adapting, and scheduling content to ensure it is platform-native and resonates with the target audience
  • Contribute ideas for reactive and trend-led content based on daily cultural insights
  • Work closely with the Socially Powerful team to ensure alignment across content calendars and campaigns

Campaigns & Activations

  • Support the execution of disruptive, high-impact campaigns for the client
  • Attend and support on brand activations, pop-ups, and shoots across the UK, capturing content and engaging with the community in real-time

Insights & Reporting

  • Track community engagement and performance metrics
  • Provide regular insights on audience behaviour, sentiment, and content performance
  • Feed learnings back into the wider social and content strategy

Workplace Benefits

  • Hybrid working with 3 office days required
  • 25 days paid annual leave per year
  • Free-to-use office gym
  • Pet-friendly office
  • Employee wellbeing/assistance programme
  • Annual company trip abroad (based on meeting revenue targets)
  • Summer & Christmas parties, plus regular team and company-wide socials
  • Company social football team
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Annual learning & development budget
  • Professional development and growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing agency

This role is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK. For candidates based in London, this is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in our London office.
