Community Manager
We're looking for a Community Manager to own Pure's day-to-day social media presence and build an engaged community around the brand. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn an idea into a post, keep a content calendar moving, and make our channels feel active and worth following. You'll create and publish content, respond to our audience, and use performance data and community feedback to improve what we put out. Social media management is the primary focus, with community engagement woven into the daily work.
This role is based full-time in our New York City office.
You will:
Own the social content calendar and day-to-day publishing across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, and X, adapting the format, copy, and timing to each platform
Create and edit social content, including short-form videos, captions, stories, memes, and simple graphics; work with designers and video editors when additional production support is needed
Manage comments, mentions, and direct messages with a consistent brand voice; answer common questions, encourage conversation, and route account or payment issues to the appropriate support team
Spot relevant trends, player stories, and conversations in poker, gaming, and internet culture, and turn them into timely content that fits Pure's audience and brand
Coordinate with marketing, product, and creator partnerships on launches, announcements, events, and creator content; manage asset collection, approvals, and publishing deadlines
Track reach, engagement, shares, saves, video watch time, audience growth, and referral traffic; report on what is working and test new formats, hooks, and posting times
Monitor community sentiment and recurring feedback, share useful insights with the team, and flag sensitive issues promptly; follow internal moderation and content approval guidelines
Qualifications:
Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, startup, creator, or community, with examples of content you created and results you helped drive
Strong writing and editing skills, a feel for internet culture, and the ability to adapt a brand's voice across posts, comments, and direct messages
Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video and making simple social assets with tools such as CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
Organized and responsive, with the judgment to manage a publishing calendar, prioritize community replies, and use platform analytics to improve content
Familiarity with poker, gaming, sports, or consumer apps is a plus; comfortable learning the product and explaining it clearly to new and existing users
Must be able to work on-site in our New York City office
Perks & Benefits:
Free Equinox membership for the in-person team
Dinner provided in the office every night
Up to $60/day for other meals when in the office (in-person team)
Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 100% of premiums covered by the company, starting on your first day
