Community + Influencer Manager
Community + Influencer Manager
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Sonsie: Sonsie is a way of being.
Cofounded by Pamela Anderson, Sonsie exists to make space for people to be exactly who they are. We believe beauty isn’t about correction or perfection — it’s about comfort, rhythm, and coming home to yourself.
Our products are designed to fit seamlessly into real life, supporting your skin while simplifying your routine. No excess. No pressure. Just daily essentials that feel good to use and easy to return to.
Sonsie is for those who see beauty as something lived — cultivated slowly, intentionally, and with care.
The Role: As our Community + Influencer Manager, you will own how Sonsie shows up in community — architecting our creator, gifting, and affiliate strategy from the ground up and building the relationships that turn customers into advocates. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with our Social Media Manager and creative team, you’ll set the strategy, define what success looks like, and lead its execution across Instagram, TikTok, affiliate platforms, and IRL NYC community moments. This role is for someone who has already run these programs, knows what great looks like, and is ready to build a best-in-class community engine at a high-growth beauty brand.
What You'll Own
- Community strategy: Define and lead Sonsie's community presence across Instagram and TikTok — setting the tone for how we engage and building genuine relationships with superfans, VIP customers, and brand advocates
- Creator program: Build and own our creator cohort end-to-end — sourcing, vetting, negotiating, and managing gifted, affiliate, and paid partnerships with creators who embody the brand ethos
- Gifting + affiliate: Own our gifting and affiliate programs (ShopMy, LTK, Social, AWIN) — seeding strategy, budget management, and program growth
- Measurement: Own reporting on EMV, engagement, sentiment, affiliate revenue, and creator ROI — translating results into insights that shape marketing strategy
- Content pipeline: Own the UGC engine — securing usage rights, maintaining the content library, and partnering with creative to route the best community content into social, ads, and email
- Community IRL: Lead planning and execution of NYC events, pop-ups, and activations that bring the brand to life offline
- Team + partners: Manage freelancers and agency partners today, with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the program scales
Who You Are
- 5+ years in influencer marketing, community, or brand marketing, including at least 2 years owning creator or community programs at a beauty, wellness, or consumer brand
- Experience building a community of creators 35+ in age
- Fluent in the creator economy — you know EMV from engagement rate, have run programs on platforms like ShopMy or LTK, and have negotiated creator partnerships and contracts
- A builder, energized by ambiguity and comfortable creating structure, process, and strategy from scratch
- A natural relationship-builder with excellent written and verbal communication and impeccable judgment on brand voice
- Data-driven and comfortable owning KPIs and presenting to leadership
- NYC-based and excited to be present for events, shoots, and community moments
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000–$80,000 (depending on experience)
- Bonus: opportunity for up to 10% annual performance bonus (based on engagement & campaign metrics)
- Hybrid work flexibility (in-person for events, content shoots, and office)
- A ground-floor opportunity to build and lead a function at a high-potential beauty brand
How We Measure Success
- Growth in community engagement rate (IG & TikTok)
- Growth in organic UGC (IG, TikTok, YouTube)
- Growth across influencer KPIs including EMV, active promoters, and clicks (ShopMy, LTK)
- Growth in affiliate revenue (ShopMy, LTK, AWIN)
- A creator cohort that scales — measured by size, retention, and content quality
- Successful planning and execution of community events
Why Sonsie?
At Sonsie, we’re creating culture through story, community, and point of view — beauty that meets people where they are and grows with them. This role isn’t about posting content; it’s about shaping a voice, setting a tone, and helping build a world people want to belong to.
If you see content as culture, believe brands should feel human, and want to help define something from the inside — Sonsie is the place to do it.
