Brand & Content Marketing Manager
We don't do glossy brochures with a sunset and the word "bespoke". We build vans that go up a mountain on Saturday and park outside the office on Monday. We need someone to make the world see it.
About Van HavenVan Haven started on a driveway in Dorset: one carpenter, one van, no plan B. Now it's a full workshop in Blandford, a team who obsess over every panel, ambassadors who actually use the kit, and a following that's growing fast.
Our people run businesses all week and disappear up a trail at the weekend. Everything we put out has to feel like that life. Right now nobody owns that full-time. That's where you come in.
About the RoleYou're the creative keeper of the Van Haven brand. Every post, every film, every external event, every ambassador trip and every hoodie with our name on it runs through you.
You'll set the look and the voice, then go out and live it. You'll report into and work closely with the Head of Marketing, who owns the commercial strategy, budgets, and performance framework. Your job is to make sure everything Van Haven puts out looks, sounds, and feels exactly right within that framework.
One week that's shooting at a trailhead at sunrise. The next it's hosting a meet at the workshop, briefing a filmmaker on a hero edit, or sending an ambassador somewhere ridiculous with a van and a camera.
What You'll OwnThe Brand Creative
· The look, the voice and the attitude, everywhere we show up: socials, website, ads, print, workshop signage.
- "Boardroom to trailhead". Keep it sharp, keep it honest, and never let it slide into bespoke-luxury dealer-speak.
- Creative sign-off on anything public-facing. If it doesn't feel like Van Haven, it doesn't go out.
- Brand guidelines and assets that let partners and suppliers get it right first time.
Note: Overall brand positioning, commercial strategy, and budget sit with the Head of Marketing. You own the creative execution of that strategy — the look, the feel, and the voice.
The Content
· Strategy, calendar and cadence across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, weekends included.
- Shoot and cut it yourself: builds coming together, handovers, vans out doing what they were built for.
- Direct photographers, filmmakers and agencies on hero shoots, brand films and big seasonal drops.
- YouTube people actually sit through: build series, trips, real owners.
- Website copy and imagery that keep pace with the range and the brand.
Note: Website strategy, SEO, and commercial performance sit with the Head of Marketing. You own the words and the pictures.
Ambassadors and Partners
· Run the ambassador programme: plan the trips, brief the shoots, and make sure every adventure comes back as content.
- Find the next ones. Riders, climbers, creators and founders who'd talk about us even if we didn't ask.
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with brand partners: the briefings, the deliverables, the content, the connection.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that fit the brand and pass them up to the Head of Marketing to agree terms.
Note: Commercial agreements, contracts, and sponsorship sign-off sit with the Head of Marketing. You manage the relationships and the creative output.
External Events
· Own the external brand event calendar: workshop open days, launches, owner meets, shows and partner events.
- Design the whole experience. The vans on display, the guest list, the layout, the feel.
- Be the face of Van Haven on the day, then turn it into content before everyone's home.
Note: Internal company events and employee engagement sit with the Head of Marketing.
Merch and Gear
· Van Haven kit people actually want to wear, not just get handed at a handover.
- Design and source it in a way that builds the brand, with the team handling stock and fulfilment.
The Community
· Comments, DMs and the conversation around the brand. People should feel there's a real person behind it.
- Know who's watching and what they respond to, and use that to sharpen the next piece.
Must have
· A real, obvious obsession with vans, cars, bikes or the outdoors. We'll know in five minutes.
- A portfolio with taste: work you shot, edited or creatively directed for a brand.
- You've owned a brand's voice and look, not just posted on its behalf.
- You've grown social channels, YouTube included, and can show the numbers.
- You've run ambassador, creator or partner relationships, and live events where you were front and centre.
- The confidence to say "that's not us", to anyone.
- Happy on a laptop on Tuesday and in a muddy field on Saturday.
Nice to have
· Background with an outdoor, adventure, motorsport or lifestyle brand.
- Contacts in the van, automotive or adventure world: creators, photographers, partner brands.
- Long-form video and YouTube storytelling experience.
- Copywriting chops for web, email and print.
Send your CV and a link to your portfolio or the channels you've run. Tell us which pieces you shot yourself and which you directed.
Then do two things:
Look at our Instagram and tell us, honestly, what you'd change first.
Tell us about a van, car, bike or trip you're properly obsessed with.
We read every one.
