At Vertu Motors, we’re investing in the future of learning and are looking for an Apprentice Digital Learning Content Creator to join our Learning & Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in digital learning while completing a recognised apprenticeship and gaining hands-on experience across one of the UK’s leading automotive retail groups.
Reporting into the Digital Learning Manager, you’ll be supported to design, create and deliver engaging digital learning experiences that help colleagues across the business learn, grow and succeed. You’ll develop your skills on the job while working towards your apprenticeship, building confidence in content creation, learning technology, communication and digital learning design.
As part of this role, you’ll complete a recognised Level 5 Digital Learning Designer Apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn, gain industry-relevant qualifications and apply your learning directly in a supportive, practical working environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and eager to begin or grow a career in digital learning through an apprenticeship route.
You don’t need to have worked in digital learning before. You may have experience creating content, studying a related subject, using digital tools, or simply have a strong interest in learning, design and technology. To be successful, you’ll ideally have the following:
- A minimum of two A-Levels
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or 4 or above
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- A creative mindset with an interest in content creation, design and technology.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Confident in learning or using new digital tools and platforms.
- An interest in training, education or people development.
- A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
Experience with learning platforms, video creation tools, graphic design software or AI technologies would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Digital Learning Content Creator, you’ll support the delivery and continuous improvement of our digital learning strategy while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for your apprenticeship. You’ll do this by:
- Creating engaging digital learning content using a variety of media and technologies.
- Supporting the administration and maintenance of the Litmos Learning Management System (LMS).
- Producing learner communications and engagement activities to increase participation and completion rates.
- Developing digital assets including videos, graphics, guides, learning resources and eLearning materials.
- Using tools such as Microsoft 365, Canva, Synthesia and AI-powered technologies to create impactful learning experiences.
- Producing reports, dashboards and learning insights to help measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting testing, quality assurance and ongoing updates of learning content and platforms.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business to understand learning needs and recommend digital learning solutions.
- Contributing ideas and innovations that enhance the learner experience and drive continuous improvement.

As part of the recruitment process, you will be requried to attend an assessment centre held at Vertu Eagles Arena week commencing 31st August, followed by a second stage interview.
