This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently manage client relationships while turning brand goals into strategic, engaging social media content. You’ll oversee a portfolio of client accounts, lead the development of content calendars and campaigns, collaborate with our creative team, and ensure work is delivered on time and at a consistently high standard.
Daily client communication is a central part of this position. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to pair strong creative instincts with strategic thinking.
Prior agency experience and hands-on social media management experience are strongly preferred.
This is a full-time, salaried position based in Houston and reports directly to the Social Media Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned client accounts, building strong and trusted relationships.
- Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with each client’s brand, audience, and business goals.
- Lead client onboarding and translate brand objectives into clear content strategies, calendars, and campaigns.
- Create and manage monthly content calendars, including platform-specific concepts, captions, stories, short-form videos, and calls to action.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, analysts, and third-party creators to produce compelling, on-brand content.
- Provide clear creative direction and thoroughly review all work before it is shared with clients or published.
- Manage client approvals, feedback, deadlines, and internal deliverables across multiple accounts.
- Identify timely trends and cultural moments that can be thoughtfully adapted for client brands.
- Engage with online communities and develop outreach strategies that strengthen brand awareness and loyalty.
- Coordinate influencer, creator, and community partnerships.
- Monitor social media performance, prepare monthly analytics reports, and translate results into actionable recommendations.
- Manage paid social promotions and boosted posts as needed.
- Plan and coordinate photo and video shoots, including schedules, shot lists, talent, vendors, and client communication.
- Stay current on social platform updates, emerging formats, and industry best practices.
- Support and guide junior team members while maintaining accountability for the quality and timeliness of assigned accounts.
About You:
- You have 2–5 years of social media marketing experience, preferably within an agency environment.
- You are an excellent communicator who feels confident leading client calls, presenting ideas, and navigating feedback.
- You are a strong writer with a sharp understanding of brand voice, storytelling, and platform-specific copy.
- You are highly organized and capable of managing multiple accounts, calendars, deadlines, and priorities at once.
- You bring both creative ideas and strategic thinking to your work.
- You have strong attention to detail and take ownership of delivering polished, accurate work.
- You understand social media analytics and can use performance data to improve future content.
- You have experience creating short-form video content or collaborating closely with production teams.
- You are proactive, resourceful, receptive to feedback, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are a collaborative team member who brings professionalism, positivity, and sound judgment to your work.
- You are proficient in Google Workspace, Canva, social media platforms, scheduling tools, and video-editing applications.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with compensation based on experience. The role also includes:
