Account Executive, Social Media

The Account Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several client accounts as well as their social media presence. This includes strategy and counsel, public relations services, content development and writing for various channels, social media community management, and other marketing communications services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy and counsel, and do social media community management for several clients.
• Develop strategic communications and media relations plans with measurable objectives.
• Develop content for key messages, talking points, media pitches, press releases, bylines, op-eds, newsletters and websites.
• Interview client contacts and subject matter experts to generate stories and content.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
• Help pursue new business, including proposals and pitches.
• Manage the firm's own social media presence.

Experience and skills

• Three to four years of public relations experience; previous PR agency experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism or a related field preferred.
• Proficient in the use and management of all major social media platforms.
• Solid content development and editing skills, proven media relations skills, and effective project management.
