Apply at The Theory Crew

In the early stages of your PR, marketing, social media or content career? Theory Crew is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team!

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years’ experience across PR, influencer marketing, social media or content creation who is looking for their next step.

You’ll support our Account Managers and Account Directors across a mix of integrated PR, influencer and social campaigns, while also being hands-on in creating content for some of Australia’s most exciting brands.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable jumping behind a camera or phone to capture social content. You don’t need to be a professional photographer or videographer, but you should have a good creative eye, be confident shooting basic content and be comfortable editing and creating assets using Adobe Creative Cloud.

About Theory Crew

We’re one of Australia’s leading independent PR, influencer marketing and social media agencies for lifestyle brands. Our clients include global and local household names such as Brown Brothers, Hada Labo, Tanologist, Isle of Paradise, INIKA, DB Cosmetics, Sunny Queen, Authentic Asia, Brioche Gourmet, Tilda Rice, Carman’s, Toni & Guy, Impulse, V05 and more. Our work spans PR, influencer marketing, paid social, UGC, content creation, activations, and integrated campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of integrated PR, influencer marketing, social media and content campaigns
  • Create and capture social-first content for clients, including basic photography and video shoots
  • Edit and resize content for different social platforms using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
  • Assist with content and shoot planning, including shot lists, props, products, locations and basic production requirements
  • Develop media assets under guidance, including press releases, media fact sheets, tailored pitches, opinion pieces and other communications materials
  • Proactively and reactively support media outreach to generate quality coverage in line with client strategies
  • Develop influencer assets including influencer agreements, pitches, briefing documents and talent lists
  • Help bring influencer and UGC partnerships to life from briefing through to delivery
  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, social content and activations
  • Build and nurture relationships with media, influencers, creators and industry stakeholders
  • Conduct research and stay across media, social, creator and cultural trends
  • Assist with client meetings, WIPs, campaign administration and day-to-day account management
  • Prepare reports and monitor campaign and content performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Design, marketing, PR, communications or related graduate, or 1-2 years’ relevant experience; agency experience is a bonus
  • A genuine interest in content creation and social media, with a good eye for what makes engaging social-first content
  • Comfortable capturing basic photo and video content using a phone and/or camera
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly tools such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro, as well as Canva
  • Basic video editing skills and an understanding of formats for Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading and grammar skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients, tasks and deadlines
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative attitude
  • Passion for media, influencers, creators and digital trends
  • Willingness to get stuck in - whether that’s helping on a shoot, supporting an activation, pulling together an influencer list or writing a media pitch
  • Enthusiasm to learn, take feedback and grow

Why Us?

  • Flexible working with a hybrid mix of home and office
  • Strong, supportive culture where sustainable work-life balance is a priority
  • Collaborative and ambitious team environment
  • Dedicated career development, progression plans and regular catch-ups with senior management
  • Exposure to a broad mix of PR, influencer, social, content and activation work
  • The opportunity to work with some of Australia’s best-known local and global brands
  • Plenty of opportunities to learn, experiment and build your skills across different disciplines
  • Cross collaboration with our sister-agency RISER Collective
